Late Nite Oddity: I’m glad we are not here.

Filed in National by on October 22, 2008

Washington (AP) – With just 13 days to go this election will be every bit as tight as the elections we’ve become used to. Hillary Clinton has been playing to “the middle” as expected focusing her entire campaign on trying to win centrist voters in Ohio and Florida.

Meanwhile John McCain and his telegenic running mate, Mitt Romney have been able to exploit the vacuum created by that strategy in reliably democratic states like Pennsylvania and Oregon by presssing a “change from the Clinton/Bush years” message.

We dodged a bullet.

I love the fact that Ohio and Florida aren’t the be all and end all. Just look at Ohio’s poll numbers. Can you imagine if we were dealing with that nonsense right now?

Than you, Obama, for changing the map.
