Mitt Romney heads for the gutter
Washington Post Reports: ‘Swift Boat’ Figure Joins Romney
The primary funder of an independent group that raised questions about the résumé of Sen. John F. Kerry during the 2004 presidential election has signed on to raise money for former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney’s GOP presidential campaign.
In spite of his choir boy image, with friends like Grover Norquist and Ann Coulter you had to wonder about the guy. Now he has revealed himself.
Who, pray tell? linkee please!

Welcome to the team, Mr. Perry.
Today on the TV talk shows, I heard that Romney is on a negative poll slide and may can some od hia campaign staff.
Today on the TV talk shows, I heard that Romney is on a negative poll slide and may can some of his campaign staff.
*sigh*
Not true. Romney just broke into the 20’s in NH and is the only R candidate steadily gaining ground in the polls. He has a ton of cash, and he’ll compete everywhere.
Truth be told that Romney kicks Obama’s ass in every category of presidential requirements – character, intelligence, eloquence, articulation, executive experience, management and administrative skills etc., etc., …END of debate!
…plus he is white.
Wow, Ken. That is very insightful. So what sort of objective measurements do you have for that sort of assertion? I assume IQ tests, typing speed, some reading scores… Something… Oh, you don’t? Oh, it’s just some pack of subjective “truths” that you cooked up? I see. I think we will continue the debate. Thanks for playing, though.
Plus, Joe Biden already delaclared that Obama was articulate, so there.
LG, don’t forget “clean.”
An editorial ran in the LA Times which dubs Obama a “Magic Negro” in that he assuages white guilt without threatening to ravish all the white women, a la Morgan Freeman in Driving Miss Daisy, and pretty much every movie he’s ever made.
…and John Kerry has still not released his military records, so the Swift Boat Vets’ claim that his 3 Purple Hearts are bogus still stands.
And there’s no arguing with Ken on this:
“executive experience, management and administrative skills etc.”
Obama’s never run anything larger than a Senate staff, while Romney’s been an executive his entire adult life.
an executive his entire adult life = riding on daddy’s coat tails.
Please. He rose to the top of Bain Capital on his own. He started as an entry-level consultant, and rose to the top of the organization.
His daddy didn’t pick him to bail out the Olympics. His daddy’s name didn’t mean squat to the voters of Massachusetts.
He’s been a successful executive his entire life for one reason: he’s damn good at it.
A real self made man. His dad being the head of GM had nothing to do with it? His dad being a VP candidate did not open any doors him him? Okay.
“I came to this country with only $2,000,000 in my pocket and a dream.”
Give me a break. I am so sick of these Republican silver spoon trust find types trying to pass themselves off as hard working Americans. I think we’ve had enough of the “CEO” Presidents for a few decades.
FYI Romney on Iraq:
I support the President’s troop surge for that reason. And one thing I know, we shouldn’t let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid dictate our battle strategy to the commanders in the field or to the Commander-in-Chief.
What a douche bag. The Commander-in-Chief is doing such a fantastic job that CEO Romney wants him to keep plugging away with no oversight.
Romney = 4 more years of idiocy.
Actually, his dad was head of American Motors and he was a Presidential candidate. Not that facts are too important to your argument.
You can try and try, but the fact is that Romney has more successful executive experience (government, business and nonprofit) than the Democratic top tier COMBINED.
Trying to tie Romney’s years of successful experience in with Bush’s years of not-so-successful experience just won’t wash with the American voter.
Your fear of Romney is justified.
Fear. Ha! It is funny cuz this is academic.
Rom has to make it through the Republicans first which is not going to happen since 1) he is a heretic 2) he makes John Kerry look like the paragon of consistency. and 3) the GOP is behind McCain.
If (and it is a HUGE if) he gets to face a Democrat – Romney has George Bush hanging around his neck like a cinder block. I know you wish it were not so, but it is.
Trying to tie Romney’s “CEO” experience in with the Bush’s years will be the theme of the election. Think about it. What in the world has “executive exerience” gotten us? Give me a Kennedy-esque young Senator who can bring some fresh thinking and sunny optimism to the job.
Who wants another grim out of touch rich guy who thinks we have to “fight them over there” ?
Oh, it will play.
