My wife Kristen, who writes our new webcomic “It’s a Shore Thing,” actually Googled “Dumb things rich people do” for help with this comic’s punchline. The results were an equal dose of amusing and unbelievable.

This is for fightingbluehen: Sorry about not having you come by anymore. It was purely a financial thing. Money is really tight. Cartoonists don’t make much- and I’m making considerably less than I did a few years ago. Both our incomes have suffered recently, just in the last couple of months, so we’ve been cutting back on a lot of things. I may not do as good a job, but I’ll have to cut the grass myself for awhile just to save the money. 🙁
