My question is: These ‘positions’ in many cases appear to be there ONLY to give his cronies a job with ridiculous salaries. How many are really necessary to ‘run’ the County?
This IS a family business, and we’re paying for it. I, for one, am tired of paying taxes that serve only Gordon’s friends and his/their relatives. Can we make that portion of our tax bills optional?
The General Assembly should eliminate the County Executive Office and create a County Manager position that is hired by council on a limited contract. This way every decision made has to be agreed upon by a majority of council, not just one guy with access to the bank accounts and no transparency.
We need a 1/5 of the nitpicking and outrage over recent school referendums applied to these guys.
