Bonini one ups Reigle on Mexican Hating

Reigle wants everyone to look at Mexicans crossly, but that isn’t enough for Bonini. He wants everyone to look at Mexicans crossly and make Mexicans wear signs that read “kick me.” As someone who does not watch Fox news, I had to look up “Sanctuary State” on wikipedia to see what Wriggles and Bonini were so hot and bothered about.

A sanctuary city is a city in the United States or Canada that adopts local policies designed to not prosecute people solely for being an undocumented individual in the country in which they are currently living. These practices can be by law (de jure) or they can be by habit (de facto). The term generally applies to cities that do not allow municipal funds or resources to be used to enforce national immigration laws, usually by not allowing police or municipal employees to inquire about an individual’s immigration status. The designation has no legal meaning.

For whatever reason, both Wriggles and Bonini have latched onto the imminent doom facing Delaware if they are not elected to keep us from becoming a “sanctuary” for the GOP’s cartoon version of murderous and rapey Mexicans.

Well, it was three weeks before the election, and both of them came to the realization realized that voters were snoozing through their campaigns … and this was the easiest issue for them to create. The fact that it’s totally irrelevant here makes it even better

  2. The State GOP posted up a video trying to make LBR a poster child for the “sanctuary state”.

In which you can see the GOP’s problem in a nutshell without even seeing the video. If all you got is scaring people into voting for you because Hispanic people might be here, then you’ve just lost. Because this completely fails to engage the stuff that people in Delaware are most interested in.

From the rhetoric, you’d think Lafferty won the primary.

  4. From the rhetoric, you’d think Lafferty won the primary.

Like we said on the other thread, the rhetoric is the same.

People should abide by the laws of the USA, otherwise you do not get the privileges/rights as US citizens. No driving, voting, etc.

Italy: A law passed by parliament in 2009 “penalizes illegal immigrants with a fine of €5,000-10,000 and allows immigration officials to detain them for up to 6 months.”

Australia: Passed the Migration Reform Act of 1992. This act and its subsequent amendments, “collectively require the authorities to detain all non-citizens who are discovered in Australia without a valid visa.”

Canada:According to the Canada Border Services Agency, anyone found to be living in Canada illegally will first be issued a removal order and then deported from the country. If an individual appeals a removal order, the deportation cannot take place until the appeal has been decided

  6. I think most people agree that you should abide by the laws of the USA. Even the Bundys. The puzzle is that if the Feds can’t police their way out of the immigration problem, what the heck is local law enforcement supposed to do? The State of Delaware would (rightly, IMO) call any requirement to verify the citizenship of people the local law enforcement agencies come into contact with an “unfunded mandate”. Many law enforcement agencies don’t concern themselves with immigration issues, because they don’t have the capacity to deal with their regular calls for service. much less take up the work the Feds can’t do.

The Feds aren’t interested in stopping or even slowing illegal immigration.

Great points. Maybe Anono would be in favor of a national police force, similar to the one they have in Canada? One that could, presumably, arrest Bundys and rapey Mexicans alike.

  9. Anono

Well, maybe Delaware would be better served with one police force? Maybe it would cut down on funds?
I I never said anything about Bundy’s or people from Mexico. I find it offense that you would classify Mexicans as “rapey”, that’s very ignorant.

    Lol. Okay.

“The Feds aren’t interested in stopping or even slowing illegal immigration.”
