The Polling Report [7.18.12]

I got tired of looking at Michigan tied and wondering why there had been no further polling out of it in a month. So I went to the TPM Poll Tracking site. There, I found that the most recent poll conducted on the presidential level in Michigan was one that I must have missed. The poll was conducted by Marist showing a 4 point lead for Obama, 47% to 43%. Thus, this will move the state to Slim Obama. And I also got tired of seeing Missouri shaded blue when I know Romney leads that state. The reason for that was that the most recent poll not conducted by Rasmussen was a poll done in March showing Obama ahead by 2. The current TPM Polling average for the state is Romney ahead by 4. So we are going to go with that for now, and that changes Missouri to Slim Romney. We also have new polls today out of Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa, New Hampshire and New York. Our map now looks like this:

Bullock is getting the Endorsements

Rev. Chris Bullock was unanimously endorsed recently by the Wilmington Democratic City Committee. And yesterday, he got the endorsement of one of his former rivals for the office of New Castle County Council President, that of Bill Dunn. Bill Dunn left the race for County Council President once Speaker Gilligan announced his retirement from representing the 19th Representative District. I am curious on our readers' take on the County Council race, especially as it plays into the County Executive race? Personally, I am undecided between Taschner and Bullock. Bill Dunn was going to get my vote. Of Renee and Chris, I have met with both of them over the years and I like both of them. What are your thoughts?

Monday Open Thread [7.16.12]

I am moving the Polling Report to the open thread today because I didn't have enough polls for a full polling report today and I wanted to post these polls before they got stale (they are all from Friday and over the weekend) and I didn't have anything for the Open thread, so I am killing two birds with one stone.
