The Polling Report [6.14.12]
Not much polling today. We have a new poll out of Nevada that puts that state back in the Lean Obama camp. Rasmussen is back playing games with a Wisconsin poll showing Romney up by 3. There is a reason we don’t count Rasmussen in the map, and in case you are wondering what that reason is, its’ their Republican bias and notorious inaccuracy.

A new DailyKos/SEIU/PPP poll finds that 49% of registered voters nationwide think Republicans are “intentionally stalling efforts to jumpstart the economy” to ensure President Obama’s defeat for re-election. This is largely in line with a Washington Post/ABC News poll released in November that found 50% of Americans nationwide agree with the statement that President Obama is “making a good faith effort to deal with the country’s economic problems, but the Republicans in Congress are playing politics by blocking his proposals.” That’s not exactly the sabotage question, but it’s close.
The problem of this election is whether the electorate will reward such treasonous action.
Crystal Ball: Denn takes early lead in the 2016 Governor’s Race; Biden’s Future
So it seems the supporters of both State Treasurer Chip Flowers and Lt. Governor Matt Denn got a workout yesterday and today. Both camps took turns voting early and often. At the end of the poll, after 24 hours, it’s Matt Denn with 53% to Flowers’ 43%. It looks like we will have another competitive Democratic primary in four years, although a lot can happen between now and then. This got me to thinking: what are Beau Biden’s future plans?

Ron Barber, former aide to the nearly assassinated and critically injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), defeated right wing teahadist Jesse Kelly, famous for his obsession with guns and for campaign events where he and his fellow right wing terrorists would shot at pictures of Giffords and Obama, last night by a healthy nearly landslidish margin of 53% to 46%.
The PPP poll on this race we talked about yesterday basically nailed the result, which is very difficult in House races, and which is why we consider it the most accurate poll in the business.
Kovach’s Hesitation
In our latest unscientific tracking poll, Congressman John Carney (D) leads Republican Tom Kovach, 50% to 28%. But a sizeable chuck – 18% – voted Neither. Now, the question is, are these Rose Izzo voters or Democrats disenchanted with Carney’s Carper-Junior schtick? I think its the latter, as I doubt Rose Izzo will make much of an impact in her primary with Kovach.
By the way, has Tom Kovach filed yet? I just checked and he has not. July 10 is coming up. Very soon. What is he waiting for? Perhaps he has, or is in the process of, changing his mind.
The Polling Report [6.12.12]
Arizona voters in Gabby Giffords’ former district held to the polls today in a special election to name her replacement. The winner today will serve out the remainder of the House term, or until January 3, 2013. The candidates are Giffords’ 2010 Republican opponent, Jesse Kelly, and a former aide, Ron Barber (D). As you will see below, PPP has come out with an election eve poll showing Barber leading by 12. I will be surprised if it is a blowout like that, but we will see.
Here is an update to our electoral college tracking map:

Delaware Liberal will be getting a site redesign soon, and whenever we redesign the site, I have fun with the logo. Check out two ideas I came up with….
