From more embarrassment, incompetence, and betryal from Karen Weldin Stewart, resulting in a legitimate primary challenge, to a showdown over a basketball hoop in Claymont, to the demise of Tom Capano (for which we are all grateful), to the Tigani scandal, to the constant entertainment that the teabagging whackjobs down in Sussex provide, it was a fun year, if you enjoy insanity.

The year is drawing to a close, and what a horrible year it was. We had to endure the new Republican majority in the House and their childish temper tantrums at anything and everything, resulting in numerous examples of hostage taking, creating crises and panics and treasonously attempting to sabotage the national economy. We had the attempted assassination of a Congresswoman in Arizona, and a murder of brave county cops here at home. We also had to endure the ramp up of the Republican presidential primary, what with all the lies and the downright bigotry espoused to capture the support of equally ignorant and bigoted and yet fickle Republican voters.

So I thought it would be fun, and painful, to relive it all if the form of revisiting of checking out what where the top eleven posts on Delaware Liberal in 2011. The Blue Water Wind deal is dead for now. How nice. And how anti-climatic after all the hard work and effort to get that deal agreed to in the first place. Hopefully new financing and investors can be found in the coming year or two so that the deal can be revived.

In the fight for the Republican nomination, if only scientists can somehow combine Gingrich, Perry, Bachmann and Santorum into one ultra conservative super hero, that candidate would sweep every primary and caucas en route to the nominate.

Since he is a plausible Iowa caucus win away from being the frontrunner for the GOP nomination.
