PDD Meeting Tonight: Medical Marijuana, Reproductive Freedom and Marriage Equality
The Progressive Democrats for Delaware will be holding their monthly meeting tonight at the Delaware Democratic Headquarters in New Castle, and they will have Senator Margaret Rose Henry there to discuss the medical marijuana bill, as well as representatives from Equality Delaware and the ACLU to discuss the civil union bill, and Planned Parenthood to discuss women’s freedom of choice. If you support these causes, we need to see you there.
On Jack Markell
A number of Delaware’s bloggers were invited to a Governor’s Roundtable with Governor Markell this morning at his offices in Wilmington, so that the Governor can respond to recent progressive criticism and address his budget priorities. It was a very interesting discussion.
More Polling Goodness
President Obama won nine red and purple states in 2008 in addition to the 19 typically blue states that John Kerry, Al Gore and Bill Clinton carried for the last 20 years. According to PPP, President Obama would win them all again, in some cases by even larger margins.
An Unconstitutional Sentiment
A group of ministers want to make unannounced visits to Wilmington’s classrooms so they can monitor teachers, administrators and overall school performance. What the frack?
Fox News Poll: Obama Leads all opponents by large margins.
He leads Romney 48%-41%. He leads Huckabee 49% to 41%. He leads Palin 56% to 35% and Gingrich 55% to 35%.
Palin and Gingrich would give Obama a 40+ state landslide, including recent statewide polls shows Obama beating Palin in such ultra liberal places like Alabama, Texas, Wyoming and Tennessee. Oh, even though Jeb Bush says he will not run, Fox polled his name anyway, and Obama destroys him 54% to 34%.
