Dinner with a lamb

I’m not sure if my father thinks of this stuff up on his own, but normally these ideas of his don’t mushroom out of his own manure. Last night at dinner I got him started (I love to do it) again on politics and his latest for sure statement is

F: “You mark my words, Obama is going to have 3 terms. The messiah is going to keep going. He is going to ruin this country. Oh no, he is going to keep going and ruin this country”

Donviti: “He has been in office for 30 days? What has he done to ruin the country?”

F: “He is undoing all of Bush’s stuff! Everything that he did! It’s ridiculous.”

D: “And that is a bad thing because? How has he ruined the country in 30 days? All of this is his fault?”

Can you imagine

Can you imagine signing up for the military, then having your President and Vice president lie their way into war and you making less than $25000 a year as well as being sent to Iraq three or four times for 12 to 15 month stretches?

Ahhhhhwwwesome!

FYI

Apparently Nemski’s brat infected my child.

The good news is I have now refreshed my memory on how to act like a crying baby when I get sick.

Ah, this gives nemski a reason to rescue mrs. xtryker’s comment from my thread.

QOTE

When is the last time you went to church and heard the Priest, Reverend, Preacher or whatever denounce a war?

Funny haha

I sort of realized it was Lent when I saw my Dad yesterday and his ashed forehead. I haven’t set foot in a church in quite a while and when I do it will only be out of respect for a friends wedding or a familial type event. I will have nothing to do with supporting a faith rife with pedophiles and their enablers, that doesn’t see women as equal and doesn’t support gay marriage but is fine with giving away anullments for a small fee.

But I digress…

So we went to lunch and he said that we should just kill them all. Then he said we should take the children away from “those people” (meaning the people in Afghanistan) “That would solve the problem, They are nothing but a bunch of maniacs”

So, as a person that goes to church every Sunday even when he leaves the country I find it nothing short of amusing that the guy sitting across from me pretty much gave the opposite of what that guy about to hang from the cross in a few weeks taught.

Oh? why is this funny? Because he ain’t the only “sheep” to want to “kill em all” then go to Church and pray to St. Anthony when he can’t find his keys…

It’s about time

Waaaaahhhhhh, he’s going to raise taxes….it’s unfair to us….waaaahhhhhh:

Under existing law, the tax benefit of itemizing deductions rises with a taxpayer’s marginal tax bracket (the bracket that applies to the last dollar of income). For example, $10,000 in itemized deductions reduces tax liability by $3,500 for someone in the 35 percent bracket.

Mr. Obama would allow a saving of only $2,800 — as if the person were in the 28 percent bracket.

The White House says it is unfair for high-income people to get a bigger tax break than middle-income people for claiming the same deductions or making the same charitable contributions
.

but, but, but we are taxed higher

QOD

HYPOTHETICAL:

Let’s say you are unemployed (u/e) and your ex-spouse comes to you with a doctor bill asking you to pay half of the $225.00. Let’s then say that you the u/e person reply back saying, “Sorry, love to, I’m not sure if you know this but, I am u/e. I will pay you as soon as I get work. I have more pressing issues then this right now. I hope you can understand”

Then let’s say 1 week passes and you get a letter in the mail that says, “Sorry your u/e but I’m not letting that slide as an excuse. I want the half all $112.50 ASAP or else”

What do you do?

(in addition to your being u/e you have also paid for your daughters ADD medicines 3 times that cost $30 a pop, taken her to 2 “med check” appt’s and paid the $20 copay, paid for your other daughters allergy medicine for the past year without splitting the bill)

In the latest sharp exchange, Mr. Bunning warned today that he would sue the National Republican Senatorial Committee if it supported a primary challenge against him.

The committee’s chairman, Senator John Cornyn – whose staff recently met with another prominent Kentucky Republican – has indicated that the N.R.S.C. will support Mr. Bunning. But that does not seem to have assuaged Mr. Bunning, who reiterated his plans toseek a third term in 2010 while speaking with reporters via conference call on Tuesday.

“I don’t believe anything John Cornyn says,” said Mr. Bunning, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. “I’ve had miscommunications with John Cornyn from, I guess, the first week of this current session of the Senate. He either doesn’t understand English or he doesn’t understand direct: ‘I’m going to run,’ which I said to him in the cloakroom of our chamber.”

Mr. Bunning went on to add that, if the NRSC does recruit a challenger against him, “I would be able to sue them because they’re not following their bylaws.”

for a party that hated lawyers, they sure love to use the court system…Can you imagine not being Wingnutty enough for Kentucky?
