Annotated RNC Speakers List – Day 1

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Your Republican Party!

RNC DAY 1 Speakers

Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.) – The GOP’s last remaining African American will be on hand to talk about how he is living proof that the GOP isn’t a white supremacist organization.

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (La.) – Addressed an anti-Semitic, white supremacist group run by none other than David Duke, a former grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan. Now he is going to address this white supremacist group, no doubt to inform them that, having been shot by a left wing radical, radical left-wing violence is a thing everyone should be utterly terrified of.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (Fla.) – Too many scandals to list.  Here is one: Gaetz invited alt-right Holocaust denier[98] Charles C. “Chuck” Johnson to attend President Donald Trump‘s State of the Union address.  He is addressing the RNC to expand on his remarks that were removed from twitter:   “Now that we clearly see antifa as terrorists, can we hunt them down like we do those in the Middle East?”

Rep. Jim Jordan (Ohio) – Knew but did not act during his time as an assistant coach, standing silent as a OSU team doctor molested hundreds.   Because it is impossible for Republicans to feel shame, and in keeping with the “up is down” theme, Jordan is on hand to tell everyone that Joe Biden will molest your wresting team.

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley – Resigned one day after an ethics watchdog requested an investigation into her acceptance of free flights on private jets.  The last remaining shreds of Haley’s reputation will be collected in a coffee can and burned.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel –  Any Republicans worried that that ethical rot hasn’t penetrated into the bones of the GOP will be put at ease by McDaniel’s address which will highlight stories like the time Trump nominated San Diego billionaire/campaign donor, Doug Manchester to be the ambassador to the Bahamas but the appointment was held up in the GOP run Senate until McDaniel sent Manchester an email setting up a corrupt quid pro quo: “Would you consider putting together $500,000 worth of contributions from your family to ensure we hit our ambitious fundraising goal?” McDaniel wrote.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey – St. Louis gun waving guns a-holes.

Donald Trump Jr. – A chip off the old block, lowlife piece of shit.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk –  Just read this

Trump’s Shadow Chief of Staff

> Fox News personalities constantly spout off some crazy shit to keep their lunatic audience engaged.

> Trump listens to the crazy shit 24/7 and creates US policy on the fly while in front of his TV.

> We all kinda know this but nobody in the real media has really watched enough Fox News to fully document the depth of the cause & effect relationship.

Here is a good podcast to listen to

When I say something trenchant in this I’m probably quoting Rob Burns without attribution.
. Also watch the movie ‘Children of Men’.

Canio  and Jason from Delaware Liberal join Rob in the virtual bunker to talk about the Biden/Harris fanfare in Delaware, whether or not it’s important to vote for Biden here in Delaware, and what the implications are of a Biden presidency.

Be Prepared No. 2 #Generalstrike

Be Prepared No. 2 #Generalstrike

Believe Trump when he says that he will burn the country down before accepting the verdict of voters.  On top of that transparency, we have a Democratic Party that is giving Trump and opening by running the always terrible “50% plus 1, Chase the Moderates” strategy.

When the time comes:

  • Stop Working
  • Stop Buying
  • Empty your Accounts (stack up cash)
  • Be Prepared

How it will probably go down via Slate:

It is the late evening of Nov. 3, 2020—Election Day. The race is tight. It’s come down to the three states that President Donald Trump barely won in 2016: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Most in-person votes have been counted, and Trump holds a small lead in each state. But there are millions of mail-in ballots that election officials have not yet processed. Hundreds of thousands of voters dropped their ballots in the mail days ago, but they haven’t been received. Meanwhile, thousands of ballots that were mailed in time have been rejected due to alleged technical defects. The outcome of the election turns on all these outstanding votes. But Trump, on the basis of the results so far, declares victory and dismisses the remaining mail-in ballots as fraudulent and illegitimate. The Republican-controlled legislatures of all three states agree, assigning their electoral votes to the president. Trump has secured a second term in the White House.

The DNC’s horrible, no good, always sucks, never wins, national election strategy

Every national election in my adulthood, the Democratic Party has chased 1o million or so “swing” voters who claim to be “moderate” while leaving 100 million eligible but disenfranchised voters out in the cold.   It is ridiculous and stupid.  It is a strategy that can only work if you happen to be running against […]

DNC Reaction Thread

Pretty good. The young women from AZ who’s Dad died from trusting Trump was a standout.

Michelle Obama was great.  She really drives conservative insane, which is a nice bonus.  The “Republicans” didn’t bother me much.  It felt like a perfunctory nod to the nation’s 3,500 remaining “centrists”.

According to Nate Silver the states that will decide the election this year are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida.  Every election is a “base turn out election” because THERE ARE NO UNDECIDED VOTERS, so I wonder how well this played in terms of firing up the base in this states?

Correction: Biden is NOT Trying to Lose This Election

Check this shit out. Utterly disgusting. If the Democratic Party ever tried to get Demcocrats to vote in large numbers – it would be impossible for Republicans to win. Instead we ALWAYS get this shit. Chasing after 1,500 “swing” voters while telling tens of thousands of liberal Democrats to go fuck themselves.

Be Prepared. #GeneralStrike

Be Prepared. #GeneralStrike
  • Stop Working
  • Stop Buying
  • Empty your Bank and Investment Accounts
  • Be Prepared

With Trump openly saying that he is planning to steal the election, Americans need to be prepared to shut the economy down completely if that happens.

We’ll need unionized and non-unionized workers alike to take part. This cannot be outsourced.  Blue collar and white collar workplaces must participate.   Everyone who claims to love the country will be needed to stop another illegitimate term by Trump.  The front line of this fight is your front door. The picket line is the “Buy Now” button on that web page. Don’t cross it.

Our economic activity is our leverage and all economic activity must grind to a halt across entire communities.  Stocks are the only measure of economic well-being that matters to policy makers – so the stocks prices must collapse. Everyone must answer another fraudulent election with a wholesale vote of no-confidence by removing there labor and their dollars from this economy.

Brian Holajter’s Red Alert – Part 1

Brian Holajter’s Red Alert – Part 1

There is an email going around from Coons’ field director, Brian Holajter, in which poor Brian is freaking out. It is hard to know if it is a genuine freakout or a showy freakout intended to scare the troops into re-doubling their efforts to keep the GOP’s favorite Democrat in the Senate. If it is not real, it should be.

I’ve mentioned this before but I think the overlapping progressive primary challengers are likely to boost turnout in New Castle county and help Scarane. It is hard to imagine a Marie Pinkney voter “splitting the ticket” to vote for Coons. The same goes for supporters of Larry Lambert, Madinah Wilson-Anton, Eric Morrison, Coby Owens, or Shané Darby.

Sure it would have been nice if these campaigns were able to engage in the true canvasing that is the lifeblood of a grassroots campaign, but even without the door knocking, these are the districts with activated progressives:

State Senate, District 13
State House, District 7
State House, District 26
State House, District 27

These are the districts that can contribute tipping point turn out to topple Coons and his garbage politics. In part 2 of this post I’ll dig into turnout in this districts and try to let Brian know where his freakout meter should be right now.

‘DELAWARE CALL’ Adds to Progressive Strengths in Delaware

‘DELAWARE CALL’ Adds to Progressive Strengths in Delaware

DelawareCall.com Community, Solidarity and Justice

A grassroots movement of people pushing for social and economic justice has been growing is size and strength in Delaware. Today marks another step in that growth as “Delaware Call’ brings together some individuals and groups who have been kicking ass in various sectors of the community organizing vineyard.

This is what they say about it:

The Delaware Call is an independent media group that engages in investigative journalism, political analysis, and Delaware-focused commentary. We work to uncover and uplift local community news and stories that are rarely, if ever, covered by existing media outlets.

Are you looking for information about what goes on behind closed doors in the halls of power? Would you like more context explaining how things operate here in Delaware? Do you want to find out about those who exercise political and administrative power in our state? Do you want to learn how you can be involved in influencing those leaders or becoming one yourself?

Then follow the Delaware Call!

This is why they are doing it:

In the late 19th century many major American cities had a half dozen or more daily newspapers. Even into the 20th century Wilmington had both The Morning News and The Evening Journal. (Although each was owned by factions of the DuPont family.) The Morning News discontinued publication in 1989, and we are left with one major daily paper. A paper with a staff which, over recent decades, has been decimated by layoffs, early retirement packages and debilitating rolling furloughs.

The shrinking workforce and narrowing scope of our local news outlets is troubling when considered in the context of community organizing, social justice activism and grassroots politics. Community work requires a well informed community. Our state is becoming less and less informed, and this project aims to address this problem directly.
