Joe Biden is in the news again, having opened the door to a 2020 run. It is easy for me to be angry at Joe Biden for not running against Hillary Clinton and sparing the country from her shit-ass campaign, but I think it is safe to say that if he knew how shit-ass that campaign was going to be - he would have run. If any of us had known what a terrible candidate Hillary Clinton was going to be - we would have Shanghaied him into the campaign.

Remember Bill Cosby? Rumors circulated for years that he was a basically raping women. Stories were discussed online, an accuser might win a small mention in some out of the way paper like the Village Voice... then... ...the dam breaks. And it is all over. The first accusers are the gutsy ones. "Bill Cosby? America's Dad, raping? P'shaw." They were twice victimized. Once by Cosby and once again by Cosby's enablers. The ones that stream out into the open once the ground is softened, they are victims too, but they owe a huge debt to the vanguard. Similarly, all Republicans will owe a debt to John MCCain, Jeff Flake and Bob Corker. These men are conservative a-holes who in normal times would be worthy of contempt. But these are not normal times.

The deal isn't going to be around for long, and once it is gone, it is gone. If you renounce Trump in similar terms to Sen. Bob Corker (below) by acknowledge that he is never going to be decent human or a good President, and if you apologize for voting for him, and you work to try and rehabilitate your party I will give a pass for having voted for Trump with your fingers crossed. I'm not holding my breath that any Delaware Republicans will step up and take the olive branch. You know why? Just like congressional Republicans, the entire DEGOP is cowed by a handful of lunatics. Will Ken Simpler take my deal? No way in hell. Will Rob Arlett take my deal? Clearly No. Will Mike Harrington or Emily Taylor? I seriously doubt it.

Trump’s Unhinged Health Care Remarks – Annotated

Health care is moving along. That was a subsidy to the insurance companies and a gift that was what they gave the insurance companies. Take a look at where their stock was when Obamacare was originally approved and what it is today. You will see numbers that if you invested in the stocks, you would be extremely happy. They have given them a total gift. They have given them — you can almost call it a pay off. It’s a disgrace. That money goes to the insurance companies. We want to take care of poor people and people that need help with health care. I’m never going to get campaign contributions from the insurance companies, but take a look at how much money has been spent by the Democrats and by the health companies on politicians generally, but take a look at the coffers of the Democrats.

It is tempting to go into some details about how the subsidies were central to the Heritage Foundation's plan to keep insurance companies whole, but what would be the point? Trump says the subsidies were an example of shady deal making by the Dems. Like the total fiction that Iran was "given" billions by Obama. The truth simply doesn't matter to Trump or his 35% lunatic brigade. Although one would hope that out and out lies would matter to the "media" ...hope springs eternal.
