I have been living in DE for 8 years and just found this DEM Party rag. I was looking for an answer to a question about whom among the super delegates from DE are supporting HRC; all of them. Sadly, much like Republicans, Delaware Democrats are not really interested in anything but maintaining the status quo.

Based on the histrionic responses to 1) a recent interview and 2) a Sanders stump speech, it is clear that the Clinton campaign is out of ideas and trying to create the kind of "media controversy" that Kerry deftly used to knock Howard Dean out of contention for the Democratic nomination. It all feels so made up and phony though, doesn't it? It is difficult for me to imagine it working. Difficult, but not impossible. On this very blog, we have contributors willing to go along with it, I can only imagine how many others in the national media will hear their dog whistle and respond in accordance with their classical conditioning.

It may well be weeks or months before the corporate media and the high Dems around here accept reality, but cracks are beginning to show through, and "delegate math" incantations grow increasingly hollow.
Senator Bernie Sanders defeated Hillary Clinton in the Wisconsin primary on Tuesday, his sixth straight victory in the Democratic nominating contest and the latest in a string of setbacks for Mrs. Clinton as she seeks to put an end to a prolonged race against an unexpectedly deft and well-funded competitor.
I'm not a zealous anti-Clinton person, but it is getting increasingly difficult for her supporters to deny that she had had her hand on all of the shady shit that has made life increasingly miserable for the American working class. Iraq War - She voted for it. Free trade that shifts American manufacturing to Mexico and beyond - Bill Clinton's signature accomplishment. Deregulation of the financial Industry - She was (is?) all for it.
...the (Wisconsin) loss underscores her problems connecting with young and white working-class voters who have gravitated to Mr. Sanders’s economic message — a message he will now take to economically depressed parts of New York State ahead of the April 19 primary there.
I initially said that it seems like she is running for President in 1988 somewhat flippantly, but I'm more and more convinced that I tripped over the truth. Unless Clinton gets a handle on the issues that are important to people today, I don't see her being the nominee.

It's all over... IT'S ALL OVER!!! Do you believe in miracles?!?!? Ted "The Lunatic Cringe" Cruz (tm) has outplayed, outwitted and outlasted all the other candidates (who were drafted in this fantasy pool). Marco Rubio dropped on March 16th, but I couldn't bring myself to sweep the floor one last time, turn off all the neon, and shut the old game down. I wanted to live in the craziness for a few more days.... *sigh* And also, as the days wore on, the math started to get a little wonky. The table below probably could not withstand heavy accounting scrutiny, but what is lacks in scientific accuracy, it makes up for in heart. And isn't that really the most import thing? Heart ...and the fact I won my own contest. Those are the two most important things. So under the rules of this contest, I owe everyone reading this sentence a beer.* And I look forward to raising that glass with you sometime, as the gentle Christina River flows on into tomorrow.

Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth, and Democratic candidate for lieutanant governor Kathy McGuiness are holding a joint campaign fundraiser from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 4, at The Starboard, 2009 Coastal Highway, Dewey Beach. The suggested donation is $250. The maximum donation for Schwartzkopf is $600. The maximum donation for McGuiness is $1,200.

The President appoints and the Senate confirms. If the Senate abstains, the appointment stands.
There is a fun legal theory floating around advocating one way the Obama administration could resolve the mess over Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court. In brief, the theory says this: A few months from now, Garland could just show up at the Supreme Court building and start working. Okay, it’s a legal theory, so it is much more complicated than that. But Garland pulling on his judicial robe and plunking himself down in Antonin Scalia’s seat without so much as a fare-thee-well from Mitch McConnell....
What we think of as the "advise and consent" process is nothing but the accretion of tradition. The GOP Senate has overturned tradition, so what is the new process? President Obama has a hand in forming that new tradition and seating a new Supreme Court Justice while the Senate abstains should be the next step.
