I suppose a silver lining in this plan is that Maine will learn that its welfare recipients are whites who live next door, and not the Cadillac driving browns they imagine them to be.
The mayor of Lewiston, Maine, has called on the the state legislature to create a public online registry with the names and addresses of those on welfare in the state, as well as how long those individuals have been receiving benefits. In a Thursday column in the Twin City Times, Mayor Robert Macdonald wrote that "the public has a right to know how its money is being spent." He said that he would submit a bill to the legislature that would create the registry.

...So it’s disheartening – make that infuriating – to learn that the bosses Delawareans have hired for our state government, the Democratic and Republican leaders of the General Assembly, are spreading scarce state dollars around among members of their political staffs, while keeping a tight rein on the salaries of those who keep us safe, nurse our sick, pave our roads, and do the other jobs that help make Delaware special.

Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Mr. Walker called a news conference in Madison at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRY. The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.
In addition to doing away with the concept of "state's rights" where guns are concerned, the position paper titled, "Protecting Our Second Amendment Rights Will Make America Great Again," calls for an end to gun and magazine bans and an end to the ban on carrying guns on military bases and recruiting centers. Yes. Craziness to you and me, but gun nuts vote in the Republican primaries.

On the one hand I think, why should he run on anything? The GOP is putting up some tomato can against him. He simply needs to show up. Then I think, why not just go ahead and say that he wants to unleash economic growth by cutting taxes on the wealthiest people and corporations in the state, and thereby screw over everyone else, just like a normal Democrat. It doesn't seem to be a risky strategy.
