Picking the Super Bowl winner using my never fail “which Mascot would win in a fight method”

I'm 100% picking Super Bowl winners over the past five years. Here is a recap:
XLIII February 1, 2009 Steelers v Cardinals Or, a steelworker vs non-raptor birds. No contest. Cardinals fans should be prepared to never win a Super Bowl unless realignment has them facing off against the Browns one day. XLIV February 7, 2010 Saints v Colts People think Saints are good natured, but a great many were genuine bad asses. Think St Sebastian, who is the patron saint of tailors because the Romans had to load up his body with 50 arrows to get him to die. (Thereby giving him the appearance of a pin cushion... get it? Okay, I don't assign patron saints to things. ) Also, a Colt is a baby horse. So, a baby anything v a full grown anything is a prohibitive underdog. XLV February 6, 2011, Packers v Steelers This was a tough one but Packers are used to sawing live cows in half with bandsaws, and casually emptying blood out of their boots while grabbing a smoke at break-time. Living with that kind of gore day in and day out affects the mind. XLVI February 5, 2012 Giants v Patriots The Tea Party has doomed the Patriots. They will not see another Lombardi trophy until the ashes from the tea party are scattered and people go back to thinking of patriots as patriotic heros - not as unhinged weirdos. Plus Giants are giant and virtually unbeatable vs normal sized humans.
Which brings us to this year.

Yes – online polls are not polls

I don't know if the Markell supporter from last week was trying to make a point about online polls, or KWS is still nursing hurt feelings from being smacked down in the Insurance Commissioner primary a few cycles back... but someone made a mockery out of the Denn poll that was up. Congratulations (I guess) to the anonymous internet genius out there who pulled it off.

Clinton calling out Republicans for not living in “an evidence-based world”

Apparently riffing on my blog post about Republican economics being entirely faith-based, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said her Benghazi critics have a loose grasp on reality.
"There are some people in politics and in the press who can't be confused by the facts," Clinton told the Associated Press in her final one-on-one interview before she steps down from her post at the State Department on Friday. "They just will not live in an evidence-based world. And that's regrettable. It's regrettable for our political system and for the people who serve our government in very dangerous, difficult circumstances."
I hope this is going to be the Democrats overall theme for 2013 and beyond. It answers the GOP's use of "elitism," rallies the Democratic big tent to the unifying cause of rationality and is 100% accurate.

I’ve got 50 bucks that says Republicans are full of shit… any takers?

Today "economist" Art Laffer was all over the wingnutverse calling the contraction in the U.S. economy "catastrophic" and predicted that it would continue to shrink without "spending restraints and lower business tax rates." Are you fucking kidding me? People are still listening to this nut? Well, if you are listening, and buying any of Laffer's bullshit, I've got $50.00 bucks if you can prove that his "shrink the government and give tax breaks to businesses" nonsense has ever resulted in economic growth.

“Help” the GOP by freeping this survey

Freep this survey in order to help the GOP figure out what the hell has gone wrong. You don't have to use your real name and my made up email address "BayBuchananIsaMan@gmail.com" seems to work fine. Let them have it in the comments sections and help the GOP national brain trust rationalize nominating Newt Gingrich in 4 years.

Sign this open letter to Congressman Carney: Corprate Tax Reform Needs to be Revenue Positive

Congressman Carney, Through relentless lobbying, big businesses have turned tax avoidance into an art form. While families and main street businesses pay our mandated tax rates of 30 - 35%, large corporations now have an effective tax rate of about 18 percent. Worse yet, instead of investing record setting profits in job growth here, large corporations are using off shore tax havens to hoard cash. The "S&P 500" companies alone have $1.5 trillion stashed offshore. And the "Fix the Debt campaign" that you are so enamored with, is working to protect and enhance off shore tax shelters.

In which John Sigler begs for money while lowering himself to get into a pissing match with DelawareLiberal

If you had any doubt that John Sigler is a clown after his last missive, he works to dispel those doubts in this weeks episode of "The Looneyville Chronicles"
Dear Republican Friend, It didn't take much to launch the arrogant liberal elite into a self-defeating attack against its opposition party... Just a short time after I sent an email sharing my regret that the President didn't offer a more unifying message during his inaugural address, the extreme liberal smear site DelawareLiberal.net took my words and continued the name calling that President Obama "urged" against.

Donate to the DE GOP because President Obama hurt John Sigler’s feelings – Also, up is the new down.

What a clown this Sigler is. From the first sentence, this fundraising letter shrieks - "Don't take me seriously."
Friend, Yesterday, Barack Obama was inaugurated to a his second term as Commander-in-Chief. In his address to the nation, the President displayed a lack inclusion that we all hoped would not show up in an inaugural address, but equally feared would.
The journey into the alternate reality that every Republican must live in continues from there...
