Talk about whatever is knocking around in your head. Here’s one thing that is knocking around in my head, but it’s more of a WTF. Chuck Norris wants you to desecrate a flag: As 9/12 concluded, we all heard many ways to keep this revolutionary movement going. But I was sitting back thinking there’s one […]
Meet The New Massachusetts Senator, Paul Kirk
The new interim Massachusetts Senator is expected to be named today at an 11 a.m. press conference. His name is Paul Kirk: Multiple media sources this morning, indeed, are pointing to the 71 year-old Kirk, a Boston-based attorney who served as the head of the Democratic National Committee in the late 1980s. Kirk, perhaps most […]

A science-y version of your open thread today. Swine flu, yikes! We are already close to the number of cases as we normally have during the peak of flu season and we haven’t even entered the official flu season yet. (The red line is the current flu season and 98% of cases are H1N1 right […]

Steve Benen at Washington Monthly reports on a health care forum held by Rep. Eric Cantor and Rep. Bobby Scott in Virginia: Cantor was pressed, however, on a couple areas of interest. Richmond resident Ben Ragsdale demanded to know how Republicans were going to expand access to healthcare if they have only a four-page list […]
Fixing The Baucus Bill
Last week after months of negotiating, Max Baucus released his version of the health care reform bill. It was one a bill that had a rare bipartisan agreement – both Democrats and Republicans hated it. Among the concerns that Democrats had about the bill: It proposed a tax on so-called high- value health care plans, […]

What’s on your mind? I’ll start – this story caught my attention – Tom Coburn’s chief of staff spoke about “The New Masculinity” at the Value Voters Conference: Schwartz then recalled “a very good friend” of his “who was in the homosexual lifestyle for a long time,” saying that he “had good conversations about, about […]
Michael Steele Is A Genius…
…Or not With that in mind, it’s hardly a surprise that the White House hopes that Paterson decides not to run next year. What is a surprise is that Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele apparently wants voters to think President Obama doesn’t like black people. Michael Steele said it was “curious” on why the […]
What Does The Dave Matthews Band Think Of This?
This is just disgusting. Take this with a grain of salt, but these allegations are from one of John Edwards’s closest aides, the one who publicly stated he was the father of Rielle Hunter’s child to help cover up Edwards’s actions. The New York Times said the book proposal by former Edwards aide Andrew Young […]
