The new year sees some firming up of plans for this race, and there has been some intersting movement since the last time we did this, in the Fall. For those of you following the broader narrative, you can see the first Cattle Call from 2010.

Scott Who?
You all remember Scott Spencer, the guy who claimed he was running for Congress in 2010, but after all his bluster and hubbub about rockets and trains, didn’t even file for the Democratic primary? Apparently he’s now running for Mayor of Wilmington. While he passed himself off as a progressive, his true colors came out during numerous appearances on the Fatman’s show down here in Sussex, where he espoused his anti-abortion rights and anti-labor stands.

PDD Meeting Tonight on the 2012 Endorsement Process
The Progressive Democrats for Delaware will be holding their monthly meeting tonight, January 4, 2012 at 7 pm at the Delaware Democratic Party Headquarters, located at 19 East Commons Blvd. in New Castle. This meeting will be dedicated to the 2012 PDD Endorsement Process. In particular, we are in the midst of drafting our Candidate Questionnaire and are seeking input, suggestions and comments. All who are interested in learning more, or participating in our Endorsement process, should attend. This meeting is open to all members of the PDD and like-minded voters.
