Tempers Flaring in Sussex? – UPDATED
We received a tip this evening that there was some sort of physical altercation at County Council between Councilman Vance Phillips and Sheriff Jeff Christopher. Georgetown Police were called to the County Council Building by the sheriff. The matter is under investigation by the police and no arrests have been made at this time. Note that during this altercation, one of the people was armed (guess who?).
Kevin Kelley’s Cardinals
Many in this area, if not the overwhelming majority of Mr. Kelley’s constituents, are Phillies fans. So that was kinda a dick move on his part for him to stomp over the hearts of still mourning Phillies fans. So tonight or tomorrow, when the St. Louis Cardinals lose the World Series, I call on Mr. Kelley to stand up in the council chambers and congratulate the Texas Rangers, while wearing a Phillies hat. Of course, I probably just jinxed the Rangers, and now the Cardinals will win and then Kelley can stand up again for the Cardinals.

“We’ll repeal Obamacare and get rid any idea that you have to have abortion coverage or contraceptive coverage. One of the things that I will talk about that no president has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the sexual liberty idea and many in the Christian faith have said, you know contraception is OK. It’s not OK because it’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be,” – Rick Santorum, taking the Christianist war against individual freedom back to contraception.
‘Bulo On Al’s Show-Wednesday, Oct. 26
We’ll be talking Occupy Delaware, the latest Wilmington mayoral developments, Nancy Cook, Michele Rollins and much more. The Al Mascitti Show airs every week day on WDEL-1150 AM from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. I’ll be on at 10. I do believe that the masked sleepwalker may also make an appearance as well.
How Not To Be Mayor
Let’s start with the announcement rollout on Monday by Charles Potter and Dennis Williams – as I noted in my Sunday post, the Williams announcement was expected sometime this week. Yet Monday afternoon, Potter sends an email to his list declaring for Williams’ Representative seat, clearly catching Williams off-guard (see Esteban Parra’s article here).
Oh Christine. Pay your bills for once, will you?
The News Journal will be reporting tomorrow on a lawsuit that was filed last week by Christine O’Donnell seeking a declaratory judgment concerning her dispute with Jonathan Moseley, a former campaign worker on several of her previous campaigns. In a post on its Facebook page, the News Journal says Moseley, who is an attorney in Virginia, has demanded $18,250 for work and expenses he incurred this year and in 2008 in her race against Joe Biden for the Senate. Oh, but there is so much more to the story…. check inside.
A Crib Death for OccupyDelaware?
Not yet a month old, and already the Occupy movement in Delaware is in mortal danger. I don’t know if it is indicative of how the movement is progressing in other cities and states, but I hope not. Allow me to explain…
Once More With Hypocrisy
“It’s politics of personal destruction aimed at our own and it’s got to stop. Right now a lawn gnome could beat Obama in 2012, so, yes, we can be picky, but not nasty or malicious. If we don’t stop the Republican cannibalism we’re simply turning this election over to the Democrats, who certainly don’t deserve it.” — Christine O’Donnell.
This quote is so full of irony and hypocrisy I don’t even know where to start.
Multi-Millionaire Heiress Michele Rollins: Deadbeat Grandma?
Last week, we received a tip from an Alabama legal and political blog called the Legal Schnauzer. It seems they have been following the divorce of Ted Rollins from his wife. Ted Rollins is the son of the late John Rollins and step son of Michele. Ted Rollins has manipulated the legal system and misrepresented his considerable assets so as to lower his child support and alimony payments as much as possible, so low in fact, that Michele Rollins’ grandchildren are on food stamps.
City of Wilmington Mayoral Cattle Call — Fall 2011 Edition
April 2010 was the last time we did this cattle call and there’s been alot of movement in this list since then to report on. Or, at least, there has been strong rumor of a big change to the who’sin-who’s out churn that has been going on the past year and so obsessing folks in Wilmington this weekend to revisit this list:
