Coons has the answer to Coronavirus; tinkering with the Tax Code. I shit you not

This shows Coons’ the deeply diseased mindset. What the country needs now, above all else, is a bipartisan plan to tinker with the tax code to increase the income tax deduction for charitable giving up to $4,000. So if you donate $4,000 to your Church or some social welfare organization like the NRA, you can knock that $4,000 off the top of your income. Tax Breaks! That’s the bold leadership America is clamoring for.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Coons plan for fighting coronavirus. Un-fucking-believable.

Should Biden “Debate” Trump?

Should Biden “Debate” Trump?

There are no persuadable voters. There will be no meaningful unpacking of issues. There will only be Trump putting on his Trump show for his fans. What does Biden get out of being prop in the Trump show? How do you even debate someone makes up “facts” on the spur of the moment? I say Biden should pass on taking part in this sham.

What do you think? Jonathan Russo writing at TPM thinks Trump has set up a losing dynamic for himself.

However, one thing is certain. Trump has painted himself into a deep corner when it comes to the public’s expectations about Biden’s performance.

His mocking descriptions of Biden started months ago with relentless “sleepy Joe” tweets. Then they devolved to, “I honestly don’t think he knows what office he is running for.” Finally, Trump gave some vague warnings that Biden was going to be put in a “home while super left radical crazies run the country.” Trump’s key spokespeople regularly attack Biden’s mental acuity.

Lefty, Come Home

Lefty, Come Home

When Lefty says “There isn’t much difference between Democrats and Republicans” and points to cowards and bought and paid for corporate shills like BHL, Coons and Carney as evidenced, he has a point. For “Dems” like BHL, Coons and Carney taxing rich people and corporation is always the problem and austerity is always the solution.

Our party has a history of promoting corporate shills and cowards to leadership positions. We stopped being the people’s party and became the Oligarch’s Party under Bill Clinton. That’s a fact.

But is is also a fact that the party is changing. There is a new generation of leadership on the come up. It is a generation leadership that gets it.

State Party Chair,Erik Raser-Schramm
Executive Director, Jesse Chadderdon
Deputy Executive Director, Travis Williams
National Committeewoman, Evelyn Harris
City of Wilmington Chair, Cassandra Marshall
New Castle County Chair, Dave Woodside

From what I’ve seen, these people get it. And they are working hard to elect people who get it. There may be more that I’m missing.

AIPAC Spins off PAC for the Explicit Purpose of Supporting Coons

Apparently Benjamin Netanyahu is worried about his buddy Coons.

Two former top AIPAC staffers are helming a new political action committee that will steer donations to Chris Coons and a handful of other Likud Party lackeys.

We Suck

Only three states are trending in the right direction and Delaware isn’t one of them.  This was avoidable, but Carney caved to the noisy assholes.  John Carney is an utter failure.   Completely useless.

Song of the Day 7/2: Randy Newman, “Jolly Coppers on Parade”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on July 2, 2020 1 Comment

Critics were lukewarm toward Randy Newman’s “Little Criminals” LP when it came out in 1977, but thanks to the surprise success of his controversial hit “Short People,” it became his best-selling album. This song, its title taken from a Swedish mystery novel, got little notice then or since, probably because most people didn’t and don’t […]

Song of the Day 7/1: Johnny Cash, “God Bless Robert E. Lee”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on July 1, 2020 7 Comments

Statues are coming down and names scrubbed from buildings as once-revered figures are recast as traitors and racists. The Lost Cause has no greater hero than Robert E. Lee, whose myth rested on the idea of him as a reluctant rebel who turned down command of the Union army out of patriotism towards his home […]

I’m Thanking Jess Scarane Today – You Should Too

You need to thank Jess Scarane today with some bucks. Thank her for smoking out the complete fraud that is Coons.

You may have noticed that Coons is pretending to be a progressive hero all of a sudden. Yup. He is now (kinda) in favor of getting rid of the filibuster when just months ago he organized a letter from his bipartisan shithead friends which promised (yes Promised) to keep the filibuster and thereby give Mitch McConnell veto power over any Democratic initiatives after the next election.

He is also pretending to be on the side of the poultry workers, which is a joke because he is raking in big bucks from the law firm out to destroy that union.

Jess Scarane is running a tough campaign under tough circumstances. I’m putting in a few more buck today and urge you to donate as well.

Song of the Day 6/30: David Bowie, “I’m Afraid of Americans”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment, National by on June 30, 2020 2 Comments

The European Union has banned tourists from the United States because of our nation’s inability to get a handle on its COVID-19 pandemic, making fear of Americans an official policy. Frankly, given some citizens’ quick resort to firearms during any disagreement, I think fear of Americans is an entirely rational default setting, virus or no […]

Trump was briefed on Putin’s ‘Cash for American Kills’ Program – He just ignored the briefing

It is not news that Trump is a despicable person and an imbecile. The newsworthy part of this is that Anthony Delcollo and Mike Ramone are still big Trump supporters.
