When people say dumb fucking shit like “I never owned slaves” to me, I ask them. “What’s the longest you’ve ever stood in line to vote?” If you are white the answer is typically maybe a half hour. I’ve never waited longer than ten minutes. If you are black the answer could be “all day and into the night.” American mistreatment of slaves has never ended. We’ve run a “war on drugs” as a pretext to mistreat the grandchildren of enslaved Africans. We put heavy industry in the neighborhoods of African Americans. And now we are closing polling places where the decedents of slaves reside.

Fox News Suggests Gun Owners Should Kill Cops
A large part of the right-wing argument against gun sanity hinges on the idea that gun owners will be justified in killing cops if gun laws change.
JUAN WILLIAMS (CO-HOST): He said it, right there — “You know what? If you have a gun that’s made for the battlefield, you shouldn’t have it in your home,” and he explained his position. I think that’s — not only you saw the response from the audience, Dana, the other people on stage all said Beto, you did a great job.
JESSE WATTERS (CO-HOST): So, you think that people going door to door, taking legally purchased weapons is a good idea?
WILLIAMS: No, no, no. I think — look, that’s fear mongering, talking about “Oh, you gotta go door to door” —
WATTERS: — Because that’s actually going to cause more violence.

WATTERS: This is going to cost more lives than mass shootings would cost.
WILLIAMS: No, come on —
WATTERS: You’re kidding me? You are going to go to people and say, “Hey, hand it over, give it the hell to me?”
So…Gun sanity will result in dead cops, so we must keep the laws as they are. While Chris Coons doesn’t like ruffling the feathers of gun radical snowflakes, Beto did a great job getting these bloodthirsty motherfuckers on the record.
A looming onslaught of brutal distortive attacks – Biden can’t be the nominee
Whoever the Democrats nominate, he/she better be an experienced litigator with a steel trap mind and the stamina of an Olympic marathoner.
It’s also whether Biden or indeed other Democrats are prepared for the massive onslaught of absolutely brutal and distortive attacks that Trump and his propaganda apparatus will wage on this particular front — attacks that you can be certain will include all sorts of shamelessly propagandistic media manipulation and outright disinformation tactics.
I’m not talking about electability I’m talking about endurance.
