All I want for Christmas is a Democratic Party that doesn’t suck

Duncan Black is right. The right doesn't need to suppress votes. The message impaired Democratic Party does great job suppressing it every election.
Gotta Give People Something To Vote For The issue has never been annoying bernie bros who piss you off on the internet. It's the vast number of people who don't bother voting because why should they. Don't say "voter suppression" because while that matters, lots of people don't even try to vote. Their vote doesn't have to be suppressed. And arguing that team 'D' would win if only things were fair doesn't make team 'D' actually win. There are no refs calling penalties. It doesn't work like that. "Trump sucks" might win 2018, but if Dems don't deliver than "Dems suck" will win in 2020.
Speaking as a Bernie Bro... it was never Bernie, the man, I was into. It was the fact he was actually saying something worth voting for. It doesn't seem that complicated to me... but you still get bewildered looks when you try to explain it to Professional Democrats.

Open Thread Dec. 18: Is Mueller’s Time Up?

The media has spent the past three days in hysterics because Republicans in Congress keep attacking the legitimacy of Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian attempts to interfere in U.S. elections.…

The Last Christmas of the American Democracy

It sounds odd to the ears, but the stage is being set. Bob Mueller is going to be fired. All investigations into President Trump's connections Russia will be concluded. Republicans will cheer, Democrats will hiss. When the dust settles, the President will be above the law, and untouchable. Then we'll be not the America of legend, but America II. The same Stars and Stripes will fly over the same buildings, but the flag will mean something altogether different from what it once meant, and the "of the people, by the people, for the people" buildings will be hollow shells.
