There was not much by way of polls released over the holiday weekend, so we will have to make do today by looking at some internals of recent polls. Given that the economy is the most important issue of this election, and given the conventional wisdom that a bad economy dooms President Obama, how do we explain Nevada?

Despite the two concerted attempts by spammers to rig the results. The first attempt occurred sometime Friday, when "Others" somehow garned 132 votes. Is this the unseen hand of internet troll Doug Beatty? Perhaps. Or perhaps it was the Libertarians. Steve Newton, who is running for Governor on the L ticket? The second attempt happened yesterday and Sunday, when some teabaggers woke up and try to place Cragg in contention.

WDEL did an interview with John Carney yesterday and they put a snippet of it up on their website. It is worth it to go over there to hear the whole thing. Our lone Representative in the House tries to have it both ways on the critique of Bain Capital and ends up looking pretty insensible in the end.

Foster Family Recruitment in Delaware (Updated with Lt. Gov. Denn’s Response to some Comments)

We have a foster family shortage in Delaware. The number of foster children that need homes outpaces the number of foster families available to take them in, by an astounding 2 to 1 margin. Therefore, Lt. Governor Matt Denn is asking religious organizations, churches, mosques, and synagogues from around the state to ask their congregations to consider opening their homes for these foster children.
