When slum organizer Saul Alinsky, with the West Side Organization’s militant Negroes and clerics, wanted to meet with the white Detroit rulers, Romney indirectly arranged the meeting, and attended. That's not all....
We got a new poll out of Florida that shows Gingrich up 5. Meanwhile, Republican leaning Rasmussen has President Obama leads Mittens by 2 and Gingrich by 9. We also have an update on the Florida ad war, if you can stomach watching it.
Romney was asked how he would reconcile his pledge that, as president, he wouldn't order mass deportations of undocumented immigrants with his promise to crack down on illegal immigration. His answer: “self-deportation.” I guess they'll just load up their SUV, strap the dog to the top, and go somewhere else.
I'm busy at work today, so I was only able to find two polls on Florida and not much else. Gingrich is leading in both, and PPP teases that Romney and Gingrich are neck and neck.
I am gobsmacked. Acorrding to a new poll, Gingrich leads with 34.4% to Romney's 25.6%. Are Floridians really going to go for Newt? It boggles the mind, especially when you look at this.
Throughout this political season, the only thing Mitt Romney hasn't flip-flopped on is his reason for his getting the nomination: Electability.
Yawn.
He is the guy that proposes to a woman and cites being a good provider as the main reason she should marry him. He then adds that he's dependable and quickly points out how passion is over-rated and not a good foundation for a marriage. Now, all of this may be true, depending on who Mr. Electable is proposing, but for most people it just doesn't cut it.
Romney says "I'll release [my tax returns] on April 15, and the reason is very simple: I want to beat Barack Obama. I don't want to give the Democrats a nice little present of having multiple releases. We're going to have one release."
This really makes no sense... unless it really is a gift.
>Gallup’s Editor-in-chief Frank Newport appeared on MSNBC to talk about the polling organization’s national tracking poll of the GOP primary race, which is changing rapidly in the last few days of the campaign for South Carolina. Newport said when their new data comes out at 1 pm eastern, “…we’ll see this gap closing more. Romney was up 23 points over Newt Gingrich. Now it will be down about ten points, so clearly things are collapsing.
Just thought he deserved the headline. The Republican party of Iowa has finished it’s recount of the January 3rd Iowa caucuses and the certified final results show Rick Santorum came out ahead by 34 votes.
If you haven't watched Newt Gingrich's Super Pac Ad... watch it now. It is absolutely devastating. Ed Kilgore describes is as "one of the most devilishly effective attack communications I've personally ever seen--a heat-seeking missile aimed directly at the white orking class id."
Before we get into the “I Like to fire people” statement allow me to point out that Romney is a bit of a gaffe machine. There’s the 10,000.00 bet. The…
The difference between Saturday night's debate and Sunday morning's debate was quite startling, but one thing remained consistent between the two. Ron Paul will go after anyone but Mitt Romney.…
