Michael Castle on Iraq…the anticipation builds

Filed in National by on February 14, 2007

Watching CSPAN last night I was eager to hear how our lone representative in the US House was going to finesse his non-position on Iraq. I’ll have to wait a bit longer, but as soon as he attempts to slide his statement quietly past the media – I promise to post the big “HOWEVER” here in plain sight.

In the meantime, here is an AP story about Mike that has been picked up by WBOC and the other eastern shore TV outlets.

DOVER (AP)- Democrats hoping to expand their new majority in Congress in the next election are eyeing the seat held by Delaware Republican Michael Castle.

State Democratic Party leaders say the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is looking at making winning’s Castle’s seat a priority for the 2008 election.

Castle is in his eighth term and is one of only two Republicans holding statewide office in a state carried in the last presidential election by Democrat John Kerry.
