House Bill Should End Warrantless Wiretaps

Filed in Uncategorized by on May 11, 2007

The House has passed their version of the intelligence reauthorization bill. There is an amendment to the bill that:

state[s] that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA) shall be the exclusive means by which domestic electronic surveillance for the purpose of gathering foreign intelligence information may be conducted, and makes clear that this applies until specific statutory authorization for electronic surveillance, other than as an amendment to FISA, is enacted.

This should put an end to the illegal wiretapping that these crooks have been engaging in.  Then again, I never cease to be amazed at how unbound by the rule of law these guys are.

It is as refined as my demolition of Mike Castle’s likeness. So, in short, it sucks. But I like the idea.
