    Good grief, surely you don’t expect a retailer to have a short workday aropund Thanksgiving?

    My workday is dictated by my customers: when contractors need concrete, I’ve got to be open to provide it.

    And while I don’t have to work (unless the main plant breaks down), my company will be open on Thanksgiving Day, because we’re in the middle of a twenty-day, 24-hour a day continuous slipform pour; once it was started, it cannot be stopped until it’s completed.
