The Audacity…

Filed in Uncategorized by on November 27, 2007

In an interview with Charlie Rose, Karl Rove suggested that Congress rushed the President into war. The President didn’t have enough time to assemble a coalition. He didn’t have time to plan. He couldn’t give the inspectors time to do their job. Oh, and he didn’t want to do it at election time because it would politicize the war vote.

I think I am going to be sick.

Here’s an old NYT article that sheds some light on dissenting voices, including our own Sen. Biden.

Karl Rove should be in jail.

“The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White House briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

There was one problem. It was not true.

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the Vice President, the President’s chief of staff, and the President himself.”

The President was quickly in over his head. He delegated power to the likes of Rumsfeld, Rove, and Cheney. He found out that once you delegate power, you can’t get it back.

That’s my spin on the last eight years: the senior manager just wasn’t capable of doing the job, got scared, and handed the reins of power to men who would water-board their own mothers for an extra vote or a no-bid contract.

Spinning Treasonous Traidors one and all!!!! Arrest them, try them, and hope for a conviction (but do not encourage a jury of their peers). Send them to Gitmo to do their time….schackled to the floor.

  5. Von Cracker says:

Maybe it’s Karl’s math again? Either way, he’s a effing liar – no morals, just a bred liar. Olbermann slapped him and his revisionist assertions down last night –

A WH article even before the first day of Fall.

    What a loser…

  6. cassandra m says:

Rove’s new job for the Bush Crime Family is to start rewriting history so that the spectacular failure of the past 7 years miraculously becomes someone else’s fault. Sorta the story of Pampered George’s life, yes?

  7. Brian says:

Write your congressman with my quote from Scott’s book above.

Yes, I’m sure Castle will get right on it.

  9. Brian says:

Hi Lib- It is better to do something than do nothing. So write it and ask all your friends to write to. Send it to every legislator with a nice letter asking that they investigate the matter and begin impeachment proceedings. And if they cannot or will not do it nationally ask the mayor, the county and the state to pass resolutions to that effect.
