Franken Takes the Lead in MN

Filed in Uncategorized by on February 21, 2008

Al Franken is now polling ahead of Norm Coleman in the race for Senator of Minnesota.  I have been a huge Al Franken fan for a long time, and I’m overjoyed to think that he might actually get to be the Senator from his home state.  For a great time pick up any of his books, although I recommend Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Lies and the Lying Liars that Tell Them.

Didn’t he also write the sketches for like the first 200 years of Saturday Night Live?

Franken is awesome. His short-lived show on Air America was the second best thing on the station. (Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder being first)

Say, didn’t I see that poll posted on a site run by someone from Delaware, too? Some “X Stryker” guy? A guy who, unlike RealClearPolitics, doesn’t give money to Republicans?

Just kiddin’ ya, Liberalgeek. But if you haven’t checked out Election Inspection yet, you should have a look. 🙂

You’re on the blogroll. You mean I actually have to read it too? Damn, this blogging thing is tough.

Just what we need, another comedian in Congress.

  6. liberalgeek says:

At least this one will be funny. Oh and he’s smart, to boot.

  7. G Rex says:

Franken is a complete douchebag, and hasn’t been funny since SNL. You could make the point, though, that SNL hasn’t been funny since Franken left the show.

  8. Dyna says:

Franken will never get a chance to perform his comedy routines in the senate, unless he takes a GS-2 level job as a janitor there. He’s let his mouth run so many times he’s unelectable, and the campaign season has just begun. Fortunately we’ve got better candidates in this race, check out http://www.mikeciresi.com .

  9. jason330 says:

Don’t waste your time here Dyna. No MN Democrats in our midsts.

Ha!! Erasing a large republican lead in less than 6 months appears to prove the opposite…
