It’s clear that the Democratic Party is uniting around Barack’s candidacy.

Filed in National by on May 12, 2008

Here’s what a few superdelegates who recently changed their support had to say:

“After careful consideration, I have reached the conclusion that Barack Obama can best bring about the change that our country so desperately wants and needs.”

Rep. Donald Payne (NJ-10)

“He has shown he can connect with Democrats, Republicans and independents across this country.”

Kevin Rodriquez (VI)

“Senator Clinton is going to kick my ass for this.  I hope you are happy, Jason, you son of a bitch!”

Sen Tom Carper (DE)

“It’s time to come together as a party and support Sen. Obama and prepare for a victory against John McCain in November.”

Del. Jennifer McClellan (VA-71)

Okay – I made that Carper one up.  I do expect his statement to be pretty close to that though.

    Jason,

That may be the funniest thing I have read all day.

I skimmed the post, stopped when something didn’t jive, reread and cracked up. Too funny!

HRC may have Carper purged from the DLC for supporting Obama.

But somehow I think it more likely that Carper will support HRC as payback to you Jason for all of the energy you spend (rightly)dissing him….

It is a circle of dysfunction to be sure.
