Indeed, Christine, the Democrats have been stopped from doing basically anything by Republican filibusters and President Bush’s veto pen. So, who is responsible again for the state of affairs?

This is what you get when you have Republicans governing you: horribly incompetent and ineffective government (see Katrina); fiscal irresponsibility, unbalanced budgets, ballooning deficits, the price of everything skyrocketing and the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Contrast that with Bill Clinton’s term in office: economic prosperity, balanced budgets, competent and effective government (see FEMA’s response to all the natural disasters and the right wing terrorist attack at Oklahoma City), creation of millions of new jobs, and a fair tax burden across the board.
Oh yes, and Clinton actually stopped a terrorist attack planned by Al Queda for the millenium, whereas Bush allowed one to happen, whether through negligence, incompetence or malfeasance.
The choice cannot be clearer.
And it is time to just face the facts: You Republicans just suck…at everything you do. It is the reverse Midas touch.

Of that amount, HALF of the debt came about during the terms to TWO presidents –both are named Bush.
When you add Ronald Reagan to the mix, fully 70% of the national debt was accumulated during these three REPUBLICAN presidents.
Those are the facts, folks –the GOP can pretend anything it likes.
