That’s anger? Damn. that video sounded pro-McCain to me.

  2. Paul says:

    THat’s anger? What?
    Better check your Testosterone levels.

Any one remember Kruschev’s banging his shoe on the podium at the UN? 1960.
    ====
Khrushchev repeatedly disrupted the proceedings in the United Nations General Assembly in September-October 1960 by pounding his fists on the desk and shouting in Russian. On September 29, 1960, Khrushchev twice interrupted a speech by British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan. The unflappable Macmillan famously commented over his shoulder to Frederick Boland, the Assembly President (Ireland), that if Mr Khrushchev wished to continue, he would like a translation.[5][6]

The notorious shoe-banging incident occurred during a debate, on October 11, over a Russian resolution decrying colonialism. Infuriated by a statement of the Filipino delegate Lorenzo Sumulong which charged the Soviets with employing a double standard, Khrushchev accused Mr. Sumulong of being “a jerk, a stooge and a lackey of imperialism”.

  3. Paul says:

Does this suggest any threshold of eloquence that is necessary in managing world affairs?

“Khrushchev accused Mr. Sumulong of being “a jerk, a stooge and a lackey of imperialism”.

Seems Nikita would easily fit in as an eloquent DL blogger.
And we all know he WAS a leader of one of the TWO most Powerful nations.

We all understood NiKita. A lot better than the obfuscation from Obama who relies on overusing the phrase “Common Sense legislation”.

  4. Von Cracker says:

McCain was so scared to look at Obama it was disturbing – almost childish, and certainly brooding.

I guess Paul “just doesn’t understand”.

    😛

  5. mike w. says:

That’s the best you’ve got Von? Come on.

Obama didn’t even have the class to refer to McCain as “Senator McCain.”

  6. Paul says:

    VC,

I do understand. There are two colors for the Kool-Aid, one Blue and the other Red.
Each side says their color is better, sweeter .

Re-Watch the playback. Obama was so afraid, he interrupted McCain, many times. that Was childish, and it showed Obama’s fear that McCain would make a good point.

  7. Paul says:

Did you guys miss Obama’s comment about “The ideals and the values of the United States”?

OBAMA: Well, let me just make a closing point. You know, my father came from Kenya. That’s where I get my name.

And in the ’60s, he wrote letter after letter to come to college here in the United States because the notion was that there was no other country on Earth where you could make it if you tried. The ideals and the values of the United States inspired the entire world.

I don’t think any of us can say that our standing in the world now, the way children around the world look at the United States, is the same.
