    I was on Broad St last night with Von Cracker, Not Brian and 2 others friends. Watched the game at Chickie’s & Pete’s then walked down Packer to Broad then down to the Park. I am still buzzing!! WE WIN!!!!!!!!

    Obviously, I am stoked, but things I won’t miss in regard to baseball:
    -Fox constantly playing the Rocky theme
    -Joe Buck
    -Shots of Joe Carter in ’93
    -Joe Suck
    -“25 Years Since the Last Philly Championship”
    -Joe Fuck
    -Possibly the most horrible umpire crew for any World Series
    -Joe Phuck
    -Bud Selig laying total blame on the weather forecasters.
    -Joe Schmuck
    -Howard Eskin claiming Manuel to be one of the worst current field managers

    The other night during the beginning of game 4 I was at a relative’s house – and he’s listening to the TV and goes “I haven’t really watched much baseball lately. Joe Buck, he does a pretty nice job, doesn’t he?”

    I wanted to say: “You’re right, you haven’t really watched much baseball lately.”

    Instead out came something more of a polite: “Yeah he’s not bad…I guess…”

    There are times where each and every one of us realize the truth would just hurt too much and we instead flash a polite smile.

    Except Jason. He’s just an angry ass! 😆 😛 😀 😯

    Its A shame they cant find a way to use local talent for parts of these things Could you imagine Harry Kalas calling the 9th for a national audience

    The only thing worse than listening to Buck, is having to listen to McCarver.

    Did anyone get the feeling McCarver was anti- Phils.

    No, not at all. Actually, I think McCarver still holds somewhat of a pro-bias FOR the Phils, having played his final MLB years with them (specialist catcher for Carlton) AND they gave him his launch into television before he got a better gig calling Mets games. I DO think he sometimes tried to compensate for that and over did it.

    I have a lot more patience with McCarver, too, because of his pure knowledge of the game, so I don’t find him as bad as Buck.
