The Ad

Filed in National by on October 30, 2008

I have to admit I was a bit nervous about the ad. “What’s his deal? Is this too showy? Does it give Palin an opening?”

Then again, I was nervous about the DNC speech in Mile High stadium. “What’s his deal? Is this too showy? Does it give McCain an opening?” and…

I was nervous about Oabama not taking public financining. “What’s his deal? Is this too showy? Does it give McCain an Opening?”

When it comes to Barack Obama I just have to give up and admit that the guy is brilliant.

I didn’t watch the ad! I was concern myself that it would be over the top. However, Mrs. Kilroy who has serious reservations about Obama seemed to be impressed. One of he complaints was he didn’t explain why he didn’t pick Clinton for VP. Mrs. Kilroy was impressed with his explanation and why he picked Joe.

But then again Mr. Kilroy is voting for Copeland because he has cute dogs in the ad photos! Without prejudice I asked her to tell me what she knew about Copeland and Denn. She responded that she knew nothing of Denn and Copeland she only knew from all my bitching about re: Red Clay.

I think the Obama and McCain race will be much closer then many think as racism is alive and well!

“I just have to give up and admit that the guy is brilliant.”

I’ll agree with you and the man overcame many odds to come this far!

The ad was really well done. I hope it sealed up the election. I’m a nervous wreck for 5 more days!

It did what a number of people have been saying Obama needed to do, show that he connects to real people on the trail. The Bill Clinton skill of saying, “I spoke to Barney Jacobs in Toledo, Ohio about his job at Widgets, Inc. He was concerned about whether or not he would be able to send his daughter to college…”

That is what he did last night. He showed that not only does he have a great plan, but that he is very human and engaging.

This is a good!! My friend’s daughter (middle age) couldn’t decide whom she was voting for. She watched the ad last night, and then told her mother she is voting for Obama. She really liked him and felt like he was talking to her.

Hope it had the same effect on other Undecideds.
