Just saw the genius David Byrne live in Wilmo two weeks ago. Sadly, he didn’t perform Psycho Killer, but did indulge the audience in Once in a Lifetime and Burning Down the House.

As much as I adore David Byrne and the Talking Heads, Miles Davis is light years ahead of the Talking Heads, light years.
I saw David Byrne perform this song at the Stone Ballon. He removed his clothes as the song progressed and by the end he was just wearing a body stocking that made him look like someone had removed his skin (exposed muscles, etc.) and he was lying in a fetal position on the floor. Good stuff.

I’m sure David Byrne would be honored to be mentioned in the same sentence as Miles Davis.
Actually, this was well into my adulthood. I want to say 95 to 98. When did they tear down the Balloon? Whenever it was, that night convinced me that it was time for it to go.
All through the show, the ceiling leaked rainwater (or maybe it was snow) down onto the stage. I was afraid that Byrne was going to get electrocuted and die before my eyes.
It was 1997, I believe, Geek, while Byrne was on his tour to support his EXCELLENT album Feelings.
Saw Talking Heads at the Mann Music Center – Big Suit Tour. What year? None of your business! 😉
