DTR Interview of Karen Weldin Stewart Reviews

I don’t listen to Delaware Talk Radio, but I hear they interviewed our esteemed Insurance Commissioner-elect.

So did they tear into her plans to reconstitute “pay to play” or what?

  1. If DTR interviews someone and no one listens to it, did the interview happen?

  2. I can’t find any info about it on the website – so I couldnt’ listen in of course – wonder if they’ll have a recording for us to listen to.

  3. I don’t listen to Delaware Talk Radio…

Man, you are one bitter dude, and yes, I am considering the source. You realize Burris isn’t the only person on there, right?

I need a vessel in which to pour my impotent rage.

The interview now contains whatever you say it did. It has entered the Delaware Memory Hole and passed into legend.

If DTR did interview KWS about “pay to play”, I hope they added some questions about her non-existent consulting business, and her barely-there insurance experience and her role in the PSA mess, too. Maybe Minner could make herself useful for once and change the IC’s office to an appointed post before KWS’s grand swearing-in. At least that way they could kick her under the bus as soon as she proves that’s where she belongs.

I’m sure Dave ripped into all of that.

It takes a constitutional amendment to change Insurance Commissioner to an appointed office. That’s successive sessions of the legislature voting to approve it, and it doesn’t require the Governor’s signature. This was a recommendation of the Minner Commission in 1993, and we got it through the Senate but that was it.

    Too bad. Thanks for trying.

  10. Interviewee preference.

    I am in SHOCK! Riiiggghhht.

Interviewee preference…why are we not surpristed. Lets just put the issue out there…bluntly. She is in hiding…on the PSA question, in hiding on her plans for the Insurance Commish, and unable to deal with reality, or face reality. Too timid to take the hard questions…or any question. How can we take this woman seriously….its all a sick joke.

  12. Cassandra,

I’m not sure I understand your comment. If you provide more detail, I’m sure I can adequately respond. I think I have an idea, but I’d like to hear more from you.

    Liz,

Tune in. I will be asking lots of good questions.

Oh Geek, Oh Geek!! Come out please…can we live blog this? Please, please, oh pretty please!!!??

  14. I’ll give Mike some room on this. After all of what KWS has taken shots on (and deservedly so), she probably refused any on-air interview unless she was insulated. I have a hunch that Mike was simply being polite by calling it a ‘request.’

Serious question, why do y’all have such an ass boil about DTR? I’ll concede your opinion on Burris…I don’t agree, but I understand it. There is more than Burris there, though. Cripe, they give you plugs almost every freaking day, but for what? Ignorance in return? Sheesh.

Mike, having seen your opinions, I can’t imagine you’ll have given KWS a prepared list of questions so she can memorize some decent responses. If you did give her a list, please come up with some ad lib stuff or else the interview will be a waste of everyone’s time. That’ll make up for not having call-ins, I hope. What a coward!

Geek, Geek, Oh please Geek, can we live blog tonite…Oh please, oh please, oh please, we won’t make you drive around and look at Christmas lights Daddy Geek, oh please?!! C’mon kids–how many think Daddy G should do this?

  17. Gabriel,

I have not given a list of questions to KWS pre-interview. It is most certainly not my style. Tune in. If you have a question you’d like me to try and incorporate, email me.
