I have long harbored the suspicion that my dog may be a Republican. Consider the evidence:
- She is unfailingly loyal, even when I fail to represent her interests or live up to her expectations.
- She does not do well with change.
- She prioritizes domestic security above all other issues, often at the cost of her own comfort and convenience.
- She is suspicious of handouts.

I think my cat is a Republican. I can tell because she would lay on my Obama sign, an obvious sign of disrespect.
But UI–remember, that’s how cats show they like you–they wait for you to wear the black hose, then rub up against you, or they have kittens on your bed. I think your cat was just telling you she’s at one with the Obama, and wants her own sign. Now don’t make her have to choose.
