Obama Ready To Make Mike Castle’s Life A Living Hell

Filed in National by on January 29, 2009

Mike Castle sniffed at the carrot now he is going to get the stick:

Pushing back against the unanimous House Republican vote against President Obama’s stimulus plan, the White House plans to release state-by-state job figures “so we can put a number on what folks voted for and against,” an administration aide said.

“It’s clear the Republicans who voted against the stimulus represent constituents who will be stunned to learn their member of Congress voted against [saving or] creating 4 million jobs,” the aide said. (via Kos)

Awesome! This tells me that beating Mike Castle is going to be a top priority for National Dems this year. If Carney runs I think the money will flow in.

Here are the state-by-state figures for the jobs created by the stimulus:

    Alabama – 0
    Alaska – 0
    Arizona – 0
    Arkansas – 0
    California – 0
    Colorado – 0
    Delaware – 0

I think you get the point.

Obama’s list is nothing more than a weak prediction.

Soda through the nose. Thanks a lot.

  4. is that 0 a net gain after the job losses are factored in?

  5. RSmitty says:

So, this was a deek-job against the Republicans in an effort to unseat them all in 2010?

Keep whistling through the graveyard goat fucker

…and I ask myself, why do I care, why do I bother?

    Fairly Stupid Person:

Jobs created by repub economics in 2008:

    (-) 2.6 Million Jobs

“I think you get the point.”

  8. FSP says:

    “created by repub economics”

Yeah, that’ll fly when Democrats controlled Congress.

Well, it actually WILL fly. But only here.

  9. Unstable Isotope says:

Does Carney have his committee up already? I’m ready to give!

    Fairly Stupid Person:

During that period of time, the obstructionist repubs set the historical record for the number of filibusters, not to mention the Bush’s veto power.

When there are 60 votes in the Dem caucus or repubs stop filibustering then talk to me about “control.”

  11. Unstable Isotope says:

FSP is right. In 2006, Democrats went back in time and created the housing bubble by forcing past Alan Greenspan lower interest rates. They also forced Bush to waste a lot of money and people in Iraq and the Republican Congress to deregulate the markets. Darn those Dems!

Am I supposed to be impressed an aide said this? or the fact they are going to do what they’re supposed to do against the opposition, by notifying voters of the WH stance? It’s weird that you post this like we’re screwed now, watch out, their gonna tell everybody – LOL

  13. we expect nothing out of you, for the previous 8 years you put your ass up in the air, took it like a man and siad nothing.

Why will the next 8 years be different….

  14. FSP says:

“During that period of time, the obstructionist repubs set the historical record for the number of filibusters, not to mention the Bush’s veto power.”

Did they filibuster or veto the stimulus or TARP?

“FSP is right. In 2006, Democrats went back in time and created the housing bubble by forcing past Alan Greenspan lower interest rates.”

    Which started under Clinton.

“They also forced Bush to waste a lot of money and people in Iraq”

The bill the House jsut passed is more expensive than Iraq and Afghanistan combined.

“and the Republican Congress to deregulate the markets.”

In concert with the Rubin treasury department.

    “Darn those Dems!”

    You said it.

I now understand why everything Jason says about you is true, and I feel sorry for your goat.

  16. FSP says:

I guess that, like Jason, when you lose the argument, that’s all ya got!

I now understand why nobody likes me around here. I burst the bubble. Daily.

  17. anonone says:

No, it is because you’re an unprincipled weasel.

  18. FSP says:

    More words, and yet……..nothing!

Goat fucker, weasel… what is this fascination with animals?

  20. Castle’s vote will have zero effect on Castle-none. Just as the last few years, Presidents get the credit and the blame, not Congress.

Obama will need Mr Castle’s votes on many other things like health care and entitlements. Obama will talk and it will matter little.

Mr Castle did the right thing. Stimulus for 4 million jobs with $800 billion? That comes out to $200. 000 per job? Bad idea.

  21. frick yeah says:

    smelling that carrot….

  22. liz says:

The repukes who financially and morally destroyed this country have a plan. Its 2010! Turn their horrific Bush tax cuts “Bushonomics” into an Obama Depression. Newsmax the right wing idiot blog, had a piece about how the repukes were going to “vote enmass” against anything Obama comes up with.

Castle the phony hypocrite could never muster the courage to go against the party, even if it means he might loose the next election. But of course Mike knows he won’t loose the next election no matter what his votes are..the fix has been in with him for decades. The dems are in on it, Biden, Carper et al were in on it. They like Mike who is supported heavily by the Jewish lobby here in Delaware. So good luck folks. Its early in the year, by the time the election rolls around about 6 months out, Mike will throw a vote to the dems and then claim, “see how moderate I am”, and the willing sheeple will all bend over and touch their toes…right Mike, you right Mike, you da man Mike.
