Here is the stimulus debate in a nutshell.
The supply-side wingnuts who think that all we need is tax cuts and that all government spending (that does not go to a select group of cronies) is bad, have been proven utterly and totally wrong by the past 8 years.
That Chicago School BS has been been closely observed and it has been shown to be as wrong as the Catholic Church’s view (circa 1543) of the geocentric cosmos.

It actually started with Ronald Reagun, supply side economics. Newt Gingrich out today with a comparison of Ronald Reagun and Obama. These rethugs are dragging out Reagun as “their hero” re: economics. Of course, these are the draconian economic policies failing so miserably, they want to continue or force us back into.
Naomi Kleins book….disaster economics speaks volumes to all these issues.
In opposition to the supply siders…are the Fair Trade people which are growing by leaps and bounds nationwide. We have a real shot to change the dynamic.
