Republican Air Rage

Filed in National by on March 11, 2009

Far Right Repubican Sen. David Vitter threw a temper tantrum like the child that he is at Washington’s Dulles International Airport while trying to catch a flight home to New Orleans.

The Louisiana senator arrived at his gate to find it already closed and then “opened the door, setting off a security alarm and prompting an airline worker to warn him that entering the gate was forbidden.” Vitter “gave the airline worker an earful, employing the timeworn ‘do-you-know-who-I-am’ tirade that apparently grew quite heated.” However, when the worker left to find a security guard, Vitter “turned tail and simply fled the scene.”

So he is a blowhard and a coward. Typical.

I am sorry Senator, but we simply do not recognize you without the diaper and the hooker.

Someone on TPM had the best comeback line:

Q: Do you know who I am?
    A: Depends

I am happy that a Republican is finally using verbal communication at airports these days. That whole non-verbal tapping foot thing seemed a little too inefficient to me. It’s still “screw you”, but at least you don’t get arrested for it.

    Hahahaha. Great comment Geek.

Agree with Geek; Repubs should avoid body language. Every seen Burris dance?

No. I have luckily been spared the sight.

Whether or not he was wearing a diaper is unknown, but he was obviously acting like a spoiled infant.
