Oopsie!

Family values California Assemblyman Michael Duvall forgot didn’t know that his mic was on when discussed having sex and spanking one of his two girlfriends. BTW, both of his girlfriends are lobbyists.

Here’s where I give some really good advice: when you discuss your extramarital affairs make sure your mic is off.

Update: More info on the contents of the audio at this link.

More Updated: Assemblyman Duvall has resigned.

If I were married to a social conservative I’d be very worried.

  3. anon says:

Duvall and the two women are all married.

Can you imagine the shame of it? I mean, to be married to a lobbyist!

  4. LOL, anon.

Two things to be worried about: being married to a social conservative and being married to a lobbyist.

Porn Stars, Domestic Violence And The Louisiana Senate Race
    London Times ^ | September 09, 2009

She’s a 29-year-old porn star, proud winner of the 2007 Golden G-string award.

He’s the incumbent Louisianan Senator, a Christian family man shamed in 2007 for his connection to a “Canal Street madam” in DC.

The connection? Stormy Daniels is a possible challenger to David Vitter in the 2010 Louisiana US Senate race – hotting up now that Democrat Charlie Melancon has thrown his hat into the ring.

But the plot gets even less plausible.

Stormy has just had a domestic battery case against her dropped, after the alleged victim – her husband – chose not to pursue accusations that she attacked him. In a dispute about laundry.

The “Draft Stormy” website includes a biography, useful for those more used to following politics than the adult entertainment industry:

Even as a teenager, Stormy Daniels was an unstoppable force for change.

(if you look for more info on this story, be careful as many links may not be safe for work)

  6. I think Daniels will drop out. Vitter has two opponents now, Rep. Charlie Melancon and some rightwing guy. Personally I think Vitter will lose if the RW guy stays in. We shall see.

Can Bravo find a way to make this into a reality series?…The Real Mistresses and Sex Kittens of Orange County?

  8. Good idea, PM. I’m curious to learn what “eyepatch underwear” is. I suspect he’s talking about a thong.

Is anyone else getting skeeved out at the thought of younger women lobbyists having sex with legislators? It has a prostitution-like feel to it. One lobbyist/legislator relationship you could write off as just a regular affair but this guy (not a good-looking guy by any description) is banging two lobbyists.

  9. I’m shocked at you Democrats. This is just about sex. Consenting adults and all that.

  10. wikwox says:

Hmmmm.. This Atheist say’s: Maybe there is a god? Too bad he resigned, I need more swing-in-the-windage as Sanfords about spent.

  11. pandora says:

Nope, RWR, it’s about hypocrisy. He can have sex with whoever he wants, he just can’t lecture the rest of us on family values. Get it? It really is quite simple.

  12. He’s an anti-gay marriage guy. Apparently he supports the concept of marriage is between man, woman, and his 2 lobbyist mistresses. You know, traditional marriage.

  13. Hey – at least he hasn’t given a press conference with his shell-shocked wife standing beside him.

  14. pandora says:

Is it just me, or are Republican women starting to take a stand against this nonsense?

  15. If you folks believed that hypocrisy was a problem, your party would have long since tossed out Robert Byrd. And every millionaire officeholder who grows richer while claiming to be the representative of the poor.

  16. pandora says:

Blah, blah, blah. Don’t bother me I’m live blogging!

  17. Hey — everyone lies about sex. Lies about sex are not really wrong, and certainly don’t reflect on anyone’s fitness for political office.

Or at least that’s what I heard a few years back.

  18. Geezer says:

“And every millionaire officeholder who grows richer while claiming to be the representative of the poor.”

How absurd. Nobody pretends its better to be poor, or to gain office by demonizing them. Well, nobody on the left. Just as you can’t comprehend the concept of racism, you can’t comprehend the concept of hypocrisy.

Plus, of course, you’re the party that claims to have better values. Don’t let’s pretend that you’re willing to be no better than Democrats — it’s your constant claims to the contrary that form the core of most GOP campaigns, at least down there in stump-jumper country.

  19. anonone says:

Rhymey, does your wife know you think it is OK to lie and have affairs?

  20. She knows i don’t think that. She does, on the othe hand, know that I will gladly go after Democrats for their serial hypocrisy on the issue.

  21. anon says:

Better to lie about sex than murder tens of thousands of people lying about WMD and some other lie insinuating Iraq and 9/11….

  22. pandora says:

Or you could always yell “you lie” at a Presidential address. Classy.
