Where Did You Hear That Before?

Lobbyists ghostwrote a few, no, several, no, many speeches that uttered during the historic health care debate last week reports The New York Times.

Statements by more than a dozen lawmakers were ghostwritten, in whole or in part, by Washington lobbyists working for Genentech, one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies.

E-mail messages obtained by The New York Times show that the lobbyists drafted one statement for Democrats and another for Republicans.

How many is many? The New York Times reports that some “42 House members picked up some of its talking points — 22 Republicans and 20 Democrats . . .”.

Now that’s bipartisanship I can believe it.

Nothing unites the opinion of the Right and Left like the subject of Politicians. Wether your despising say, Tom Carper or Jim DeMint the sentiment is the same: Politicians as a group are despicable.
AND non-creative, witless, greedy, easily led and live in a bizarre and distant alternate universe were self worship is a way of life. There! I said it and I’m proud!

Think we’ll get a Write Your Speeches! effort from the wingnuts who think that not reading bills is Congress’ biggest problem?
