GET THEE TO MIDDLETOWN
If you have been just dying to get out there to meet the Democratic candidates and do something to help get them elected, I have an opportunity for you.
The 9th District Democratic committee is sponsoring an event on Sunday, October 3rd starting at noon at 200 Cleaver Farm Rd. There will be a small rally to give everyone a chance to see the Democratic candidates all the way up and down the ticket. The following candidates are expected to speak (I promise they’ll keep it short and sweet):

At 1PM, we will do the work that will get these candidates elected. We will be canvassing the Middletown area preparing to get out the vote. And we should have you home in time to watch the Eagles beat the Redskins.
This is an excellent opportunity to see the stars of the Delaware Democratic Party and give them a hand in making Delaware a better place.

If you are an old time Delawarean, let me assure you that you will need to book a hotel room for this trip across the canal. Middletown is a 1/2 hour drive from all points.
Does anyone know the schedule of the coal train that makes the run down to the power plant on the Indian River Inlet ? I could catch it north of the canal and jump off in Middletown if I knew.
No skippertee, just take alternative transportation, of hopping the pumpkin truck to Willey’s. Folks should treat a Democrat real nice right there.
I just got back from the event. It was a very nice pep rally with Carney, Coons and Biden giving strong short speeches. I did some canvassing in the Odessa National subdivision. We got a pretty good response, about 1/3 not home, 1/3 undecided or refusing to tell and 1/3 enthusiastic for the Democrats. Several voters brought up Christine O’Donnell of the own volition and one guy who was a registered Republican talked about the Koch brothers and how he didn’t like what they were doing with the Tea Party.
