Mike Castle Hates The Middle Class

Mike Castle is almost a free man. He’ll be leaving public service when the Congressional session ends in December. He won’t run for office again, so he really is free to vote his conscience. Apparently his conscience is telling him that if the upper 2% don’t get a tax cut, then nobody should. Mike Castle was one of the 168 Republicans who voted against the middle class tax cuts.

So thanks Mike Castle, for reminding everyone why we’re glad you’re leaving.

Does that make it unanimous? “New republicans” hate him because he’s a RINO. Democrats hate him because of the contempt he holds the most vulnerable and because he plays politics with food on their table and their mortgage payments. I wish the News Journal would assign a reporter to ask him if he would explain.

He’s not going to vote to raise his personal tax bill. Neither are any of the other members of congress who gross more than $250,000 per year. They’re very happy to show up with their hands out when the rest of us are shouldering the burden but they aren’t going to voluntarily take on their fair share. Why do you think Schumer is proposing a $1M cut-off? That would pretty much put everyone in both houses below the limit so they could pass it without actually having to pay themselves.
