C’mon Delaware – Episode 9 Teaser
I actually did get a speeding ticket last night, so I imagine we’ll talk about that. Also, probably the cell phone ban, which according to DelawarePolitics.net is simply the worst thing ever.
A Video Dump
I love crowd reaction shots of important moments at sporting events. And I love weather videos. And since it took me 3 hours to get out of Philadelphia this evening (it seriously looks like a tornado plowed through South Philadelphia, trees down everywhere, roads impassable, roofs blown off), I decided to post some reaction videos […]
General Assembly Update / Thursday June 24, 2010
Our General Assembly Expert, El Somnabulo, got called away unexpectedly, so you all are stuck with me today. First and foremost, as reported in the comments to the Book Burning post, SB 293 was defeated in committee yesterday. The theocrats and fascists will have to move to Texas if they want to someone else to do the indoctrinating of their children. Although, Texas may have a Democratic governor next year, so there is always South Carolina. Next, Governor Markell has accepted defeat on another of his cost cutting ideas: reducing benefits for future state employees (not current ones).

Since the budget was released yesterday, and posted online today, we have heard from the Republicans that this budgets spends too much, but it should spend more. Yet in the JFC, the Republican members offered no specific proposals to cut spending. How courageous of them.

There is supposed to be an announcement by President Obama shortly, so if you are listening, use this thread to discuss.
General Assembly Post-Game Show/Pre-Game Report: Wed., June 23, 2010
The bullies were out in full force in Dover yesterday. And the ‘Honorables’ responded in less than Profiles in Courage fashion. AKA, a ‘Dog Bites Man’ story. The armed thugs who are the NRA and the Delaware Sportsmen’s Association, aided and abetted by ‘law-abiding citizen’ John Atkins, forced their bill through the House to turn […]
Comment Rescue: Why I’m Not Quitting on Obama
Obama will establish a Democratic majority that will last for 80 years and Obama will be regarded as a better Democratic President than Kennedy and Roosevelt put together.
