Trump will not run for President.

Filed in National by on May 16, 2011

Donald Trump has decided not to run for president. His statement: “This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country.”

Well, not really Donald. You were near the top when you became the Birther champion. But then President Obama proved you a liar when he released his long form birth certificate and then destroyed you with his comedic stylings at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. A week later, your support in the polls collapsed down to 5th place, giving you the same amount of support as Herman Cain.

The truth is, Donald Trump was never going to run for President. This was all a publicity stunt that has backfired very badly. Ratings of his show, Celebrity Apprentice, have dropped since Donald revealed himself to be an ego-maniacal racist. His brand is also damaged.

So goodbye Donald. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

You have to love that statement. The number of ways Trump is able to paraphrase the statement, “I’m great!” is truly astounding.

And can somebody cancel that idiotic TV show of his too?

Unfortunately, it was announced earlier today that NBC had renewed his show.

His ego would have never withstood the the trouncing at the polls.

His whole Presidential run thing was nothing but a fake bargaining chip to renegotiate his crummy show with NBC.

If they are a Republican candidate you can always be safe following the money. Trump – free publicity for his ego and other interests. Palin – huge PAC slush fund for very little effort. Huckabee – see Trump. Gingrich – see Trump. O’Donnell – see Palin.

None of these people have the intelligence or discipline to actually govern, as Gingrich proved. That’s not what they’re after. It’s always follow the money. Greedy pigs.

Trump was afraid that people would find out he’s not as rich as he claims he is, that his companies are heavily leveraged, and that he really does have a fox on his head. Maybe some advertisers will pull out from his show.
