How To Create a Job
This is the title of this week’s This American Life episode, where they turned over the program to NPR’s simply amazing Planet Money Team. What is fantastic about this bit of financial reporting, is that Planet Money listens to the platitudes and Conventional Wisdom about job creation and goes off to see if any of it is true.

I’m not even sure what TSD is, so I’m making no promises about the content. (My contribution, when they get around to posting it, is pretty good.) In addition to being a liberal, I am a business owner and I have co-authored a book on the topic of employee satisfaction. I see employee engagement as the best way for companies to build a durable competitive advantage in the post tech-boom world. Delaware companies that “get it” are going to be the focus of my writerly efforts for as long as TSD can stomach having a liberal on the contributors list.
What’s that? A little snark already? Oh yes.
