Countdown is Back – I can watch TV news again.

Filed in National by on June 20, 2011

Lead story – Libya. The GOP spin is that Obama is not using our free bombs as freely as he should. People who are less blood thirsty think that the Libya conflict needs the consent of Congress.

Guest, Michael Moore, says that Obama is not different than other modern Presidents who thought think they have the right to use the US military as they choose. He would have gotten authorization, but it simply easier to go forward without Congress. People who are disappointed with Obama are disappointed because they thought Obama was going to show Republicans the right way to do things.

Special Comment – well…listen for yourself. The special comment, which is a mission statement for the show, starts at about 6:40 in.

“The nation is losing its independence from the malfeasance of one political party and the timidity of another. Even though you and I should not be the last line of defense, apparently we are – and we damn well better start being it.”

    Hey Jason330,
I have Comcast and can’t find TrueTV or whatever it broadcasts on.
    Is it me?
Can anyone out there in the ether wise me up?
    Channel and time?
    KISS, I’m not that bright.

The new Countdown is on the Current TV cable network, Skip. I have no idea what channels that might be on the local cable or dish networks, but you should be able to look from there.

There is a service that is live-streaming Current TV (which is how I saw it last night, which was cool) via your computer. If I can figure out how to serve this channel up to my TV I’m going to be a happy camper.

Not sure if they are making shows available via iTunes — which means you could only see them a day or so after broadcast.

    DIRECTV Channel 358
    DISH Network Channel 196
    Verizon FiOS Channel 192
    Atlantic Broadband Not Avail.
