Republican Turncoat

Filed in National by on September 7, 2011

You probably have already read this post, but if you haven’t please do.

But both parties are not rotten in quite the same way. The Democrats have their share of machine politicians, careerists, corporate bagmen, egomaniacs and kooks. Nothing, however, quite matches the modern GOP.

Now go read it.

“….a disciplined minority of totalitarians can use the instruments of democratic government to undermine democracy itself.”

And the media handles it as a “Republicans and Democrats differ on Instruments of Government”

    A brilliant piece of writing.

this is a repetitive cycle that helps no one.

person has successful career in GOP, participates and encourages behavior that causes significant damage to X (the economy, our national politics, our soliders lives etc), person retires/leaves, person writes tell all/article/etc. about how awful and corrupt the party is and how everything about it is wrong now that they’ve make their money and left the building. and all of us just pat them on the back for it because they’re telling us what we already know.

This shows that republicans DO have a conscience, just most of them don’t care. This guy didn’t care until it was his benefits.

This article confirms everything that I thought about the GOP and Dems. And, ironically, it makes those who want a third party (liberal or libertarian), aka “both sides are equally corrupt” crowd, to be the ultimate rubes in the process. Well, maybe on par with the poor and middle class “values” voters. Idiots.

And, since intent is an aggrevativing factor when it comes to law, what the GOP’s doing is subversion.

Excellent point about the “both sides are equally corrupt” crowd. I guess I’m willing to cut a very slight break because life is hard and people expect the shit that they hear on TV to have some connection to reality.

  5. Von Cracker says:

Yup, the liberal media is complicit in this whole charade.

Republicans and Democrats are both wings of the American Property Party. The system can’t be fixed without public campaign financing and election law reform, but since both of those go against the interests of the American Property Party, they ain’t going to happen short of a new American revolution.
