War memorial Brandywine Park near Baynard Blvd. just a bit over Washington Street Bridge

  2. Delaware Dem says:

    Yep. Tomorrow’s will be hard.

  3. Delaware Dem says:

Actually, for extra credit, while this is a War Memorial, whom does this memorial honor?

Anyone living in the Triangle neighborhood, resist the urge to run down there and look. LOL.

  4. puck says:

Based on the doughboy gear and list of what are apparently names, I’d say local casualties of WWI.

…hmmm, on second look maybe it’s a narrative and not names, so it could be for an individual.

  5. Delaware Dem says:

No. I will give you a hint. This memorial is not specific to any one war.

  6. pandora says:

Okay… let me think. I walk past this all the time. Is it a memorial to African American service men? I think I remember reading that one day as I walked by. If I’m wrong… shame on me!

  7. Delaware Dem says:

Yes. It is a national memorial to all the African American Medal of Honor receipients.

  8. Just Somme Guy says:

Harder? Yesterday you put up a picture of a street a stone wall and some woods:)

  9. anon says:

Has anyone seen the birth certificates of the African American Medal of Honor recipients? Why isn’t the press covering that story

  10. skippertee says:

    You tell ’em,JSG.

  11. Delaware Dem says:

Yes, Just Somme Guy, harder. LOL.

  12. Aoine says:
