Happy Valentine’s Day!

Filed in National by on February 14, 2012

Just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Got any plans tonight?

Now… while I am madly in love with Mr. Pandora, no one would ever accuse him of being romantic.  In fact, the most he says about Valentine’s Day is, “Just another Hallmark gimmick designed to get people to spend money.”  I swoon every time he starts with that sweet talk.  So imagine my surprise when Mr. Bad Romance asked me out on a date tonight, and – and this is big – planned the evening himself!  Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!

I’m seeing chocolate in my future!

You enjoy that Tuesday date night–we’re having a heart shaped meat loaf w/ pink mashed potatoes. I still gotta keep the traditions going around here for the youngest! A couple of singles are coming over-we keep it light and fun, like an elementary school Valentine Party.

    Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!!

Pandora, my wife feels the same way about Valentine’s Day as your hubby does. She would divorce me if I so much as got a card her today.

Since I had to be in DC today, my husband and I had an early Valentine’s Day dinner on Sunday. I made surf and turf (love grilling in the cold) with roasted red potatoes and he made a fantastic creme brulee.

SB – I’ll challenge you in the kitchen. Love to cook! And I make the best chicken soup and matzo balls in the state.

    Ubon Thai is simply amazing!

And I’ll take your kitchen challenge! DL Cook-off!

Woo-hoo. A DL Cook-off. Maybe we should do this as a fundraiser for the Food Bank.

well, my chicken marsala went over pretty smashingly. MJ, I accept your cook off! and your matzo ball soup has nothing on mine.
BTW, i think that is the first time ive seen you type “husband” and not “partner” mozel tov.
